I've been thoroughly enjoying Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Clearing Serum. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I'm already experiencing great results!

I've been using it for over 2 weeks now and I'm already having great results! I use it both AM and PM, before my moisturizers. I love how quickly it absorbs into my skin. I find it very soothing and I love that it's fragrance-free! Over these past 2 weeks, I've noticed that my skin appears brighter, clearer, dark spots have lightened, and my skin even seems firmer. It works well with all of my other skincare and layers well under my moisturizer and makeup.

I'm so excited about my results this far, and can't wait to see my results after continued use.

Clinique Moisture Surge Active Glow Serum Review

I've been using Clinique's Moisture Surge Active Glow Serum for 2 weeks now.

The main ingredients are vitamin C, lactic acid, and hyaluronic acid. It's also oil and fragrance free. I appreciate this combination of active ingredients as it takes the guesswork out of wondering what ingredients I can use together.

I apply a few drops after cleansing and before my moisturizer both AM and PM. It has a wonderful texture that absorbs beautifully into my skin. It works well with all my other skincare and doesn't cause any irritation.

After 2 weeks of use, I am pleased that the look of my skin has already improved; it's much clearer, smoother, and brighter. I attribute this mainly to its exfoliating properties.

YSL Make Me Blush Liquid Blush in Nude Lavalliere #44 Review with Swatches

I was thrilled when YSL's Make Me Blush 12H Blurring Liquid Blush landed on my desk. I've been using and loving it in the shade Nude Lavalliere #44. It's described as an iconic dusty nude pink.

It's really the perfect nude shade that gives me a natural looking flush of colour to my face. It's a very universal shade that I believe will suit a wide array of skin tones.

New! Vichy Capital Soleil Ultra-Hydrating UV Lotion SPF 60 Review

Vichy's Capitol Soleil Ulta-hydrating UV lotion for face and body with SPF 60 recently landed on my desk and I'm loving it! 🌞 

I grew up in the 70's, 80's, and 90's and was a sun worshipper. We would lay out in the sun and slathered ourselves in baby oil and often competed with friends on who could get the darkest! ugh, if I only knew then what I know now! Now if I expose my face to the sun, I can get pretty bad melasma which leaves my skin with dark patches all over and it's not a pretty sight. It's not all about beauty though, we need to be diligent about sun protection to prevent skin cancer, too. If I know I'm going to be out in the sun for some time, I will not only wear my sunscreen but also a hat.

I've been using this sunscreen for a few weeks now, and I'm impressed. I love that it's in a nice-sized squeeze bottle (200ml), and is good for both the face and the body. It contains hyaluronic acid and other skin-loving ingredients as well as broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. It's also water and sweat-resistant for up to 40 minutes.

The texture is lightweight, and it blends into my skin very easily. It doesn't leave any white cast whatsoever. I use it as the last step in my morning skincare routine. It smells like sunscreen, but there are no added fragrances, which I appreciate. Best of all, it is SPF 60, so I really feel protected from the damaging and aging UVA and UVB rays.

The formula is lightweight, so it blends quickly and easily with no white cast.

When applying your sunscreen, don't forget the skin on the back of your hands. The skin here is very delicate and prone to age spots. People's hands often give away their age as many of us (self-included) often forget to take care of the skin on our hands. A good rule of thumb is to apply your facial skincare to the backs of your hands.

I'm truly impressed by this product. Not only does it provide fabulous protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays, it also provides long-lasting hydration and helps to keep my skin looking more youthful. I don't really have the patience for sunscreens that don't blend easily and leave a white cast, which is another reason to love this product as it does neither of those things. The fact that this large size bottle can be used on both the face and body is another win for me!

I love that I don't have to spend a lot of money to get great quality beauty products these days. Take Elf's Power Grip Primer for example, it works as well as any high-end primers that I've tested out.

I've been using it for over a week and it does a great job of keeping my makeup on. Even when I wear some of my inexpensive cream makeup products that usually wear off my face quite quickly, last all day when I use Elf's Power Grip Primer.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil With Retinol Review

I received a sample of Sunday Riley's Luna Sleeping Night Oil and have been using it every night for over 3 weeks now. My experience with it has been great and it definitely deserves some accolades.

About Sunday Riley's Luna Sleeping Night Oil:

What it is: A next-generation retinol oil that helps skin look and feel plumper while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores.

Highlighted Ingredients:
- Retinol: Helps fight the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, support natural skin elasticity, and exfoliates for smoother-looking skin.
- Blue Tansy and German Chamomile: Soothe skin.
- Chia Seed Oil: Minimizes the appearance of fine lines.

"This oil works throughout the night to deliver visibly luminous, even-toned skin by morning. It is formulated with blue tansy and German chamomile which help soothe the appearance of surface redness for a calm, even-toned complexion."

The product goes on blue but becomes clear once massaged into the skin. I like to apply it to slightly damp skin vs dry because I can use less product that way (3 drops vs. 5 on dry). I would suggest following the directions and applying to dry skin if your skin is sensitive. 

I find the product very soothing and hydrating on my skin. I also love that this product saves me a step by serving like 2 products in one for me 1. a Retinol 2. an oil. It saves me from having to use a separate oil at night. I also like to use my gua sha at night and it works perfectly with this sleeping night oil as the oil helps the gua sha glide across my skin. I use the oil on both my face and my neck and follow up with a night cream.

What I notice so far with my skin is that it has become extremely soft, it looks more even toned, and wrinkles are definitely smoothed- especially my nose to mouth lines. I feel an improvement in the texture/ small bumps seem to be reducing. And, best of all for me, is when I wake up in the morning I look refreshed and well rested, even if I had a horrible sleep. I haven't experienced this so much with other products and I'm loving that about it!

I haven’t experiences any sensitivity to the product. My skin can be reactive and I haven't had any breakouts whatsoever. I think it's a great retinol product, even for sensitive skin types. 

If you are looking for an effective retinol that is also gentle and also contain other wonderful anti aging ingredients, I definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Loreal Revitalift Triple Power LZR 1.5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

New year, new skin! 💫 💆‍♀️ 

Hyaluronic acid has become a staple in my skincare routine. It really helps to lock in the moisture, prevent dehydration, and plumps the skin for a more youthful appearance. 

Thanks to Topbox and L'oreal, I received a generous sized sample of Loreal's Hyaluronic acid which is great for all skin types.  My skin just drinks it up and loves it! It keeps my skin hydrated and plump, and layers well with all my other skincare! It absorbs nicely and doesn't leave any sticky residue. Thankfully, it's also fragrance-free and paraben-free.

After using it for 2 weeks I barely made a dent as it only takes a few drops to cover my face and neck. 💧 

💌 TIP: Always apply Hyaluronic acids to damp skin 

💧 Other tips to prevent dehydration are to use a humidifier and drink a lot of caffeine-free fluids throughout the day.

I have blonde highlights that get dull easily and definitely needed a refresh.  This shampoo used along with the matching conditioner has brightened my blonde highlights so nicely! Not only that, but my greys that show up in my regrowth are also looking blonde vs grey, so they are actually looking like highlights now and blending in with my existing highlights vs looking like grey regrowth.  It's just amazing! I was kind of expecting these products to be drying on my already dry hair but they are not! They're actually quite moisturizing.  They also give my hair that salon clean feeling and the scent is so fresh. 🌸

Philosophy Renewed Hope in A Jar Peeling Mousse, Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer + Time in A Bottle Serum Review

I had the pleasure of testing out Philosophy's Renewed Hope in A Jar Peeling Mousse, Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer, as well as their Time in A bottle Resist, Renew and Repair Serum thanks to Topbox Circle.

Although each sample was only 7ml's they did last me for a week, using AM + PM. Granted, this isn't nearly enough time to gauge any long term effects but it was enough time to notice some results.

Firstly, I love that these products are unscented. Although, I'm not against products with fragrance, I definitely prefer products that do not have any fragrance.  I have aging, combo, dehydrated and reactive skin. I was actually having a breakout all over my face from some other products that I had just started using when I received these samples. I started the Philosophy samples right away and found them very soothing on my skin. When I woke the next morning, my breakouts were going away already! I was already a fan based on that alone.

The Peeling Mousse is similar to some other products that I've used in the past where it's supposed to exfoliate your face as you massage the product into your skin, and your dead skin cells bead up and roll into little balls. I have never been sure if this is actually skin or the product that's beading up. However, I can say that my skin looked clearer, fresher, softer, and brighter after using this exfoliator. 

The Renew and Repair Serum, also unscented, absorbs nicely and doesn't leave my skin with any sticky residue or greasy feel. It's perfect under the Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer and also underneath makeup. It adds a bit of hydration and is very gentle on my reactive skin. I would love to see the long term benefits, if any, of this product as it has some great anti-aging ingredients.

The Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer was also a delight to use. Fragrance-free, extremely soothing to my dehydrated skin, and really does provide long-lasting hydration. Again, no sticky or oily residue with this product either. My skin was left so soft that I couldn't stop touching it for a while there. hehe. I know, that's a no-no. The other noticeable difference was the rough, bumpy texture, especially on my forehead was gone and smoothed out after using these products for a week!

In Summary:

My favourite products are the serum and moisturizer. With the moisturizer, I had immediate benefits and it gave me long-lasting hydration. The serum has such great ingredients that I would have like to continue using it in conjunction with the moisturizer to see if I would experience any anti-aging benefits. I could take or leave the peel. Although, my skin did look fresher and brighter after using it, I can get that from most exfoliators. However, I do prefer a chemical exfoliator over a physical one, and the peeling mousse is a chemical exfoliator. Overall, I find that these products do what they claim. They offer fabulous hydration without being heavy or greasy and would be suitable for all skin types including sensitive and reactive skin like mine, and the prices are reasonable.

I honestly didn't even realize how many greys I had on the top/front of my hair until I took this above my head photo!

I'm so happy with this product! It was so fast and easy to apply. The dark blonde shade blended in well with the colour of my roots. My greys were covered 100% and it definitely was transfer resistant. It withstood repetitive brushing, dry shampoo, rubbing my hands through my hair and more! It was there until I washed it out.
