Iherb Haul | Health, Beauty, Skincare, Supplements + Discount Code

It's been quite a while since I shared an iHerb haul. I've still been shopping there regularly; I just haven't shared in a bit, so I figured it was about time. I've actually been shopping there since 2008 because their prices are so good, shipping is fast, and they usually have all the health products that I'm looking for.

This haul features some products that are new to me and some old favourites. I also have a discount code AGU725 that will save you $$$ whether you are new to iHerb or have previously shopped there.

This is a repurchase for me. It has many health and beauty benefits, so I love to make it a part of my everyday supplement routine.

"GLA (gamma-Linolenic acid), and linolenic acid are essential, polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are used by most cells in the body to produce soothing prostaglandins (intracellular hormone-like messengers), which help maintain the balance of many functions in the body."

Garden of Life makes some of my favourite supplements. They use raw whole foods in their multivitamin, they are non-GMO and I definitely notice a difference in how I feel when I take them. I can't say that for most multivitamins that I've tried.

"Vitamin Code® 50 & Wiser Women is a comprehensive whole food multi-nutrient formula, specifically formulated to meet the unique needs of women over 50, providing the nourishment the body craves to maintain optimal health and well-being.
Contains 23 powdered organically grown fruits and vegetables add supporting antioxidants, vitamins and nutrient cofactors."
  • Breast and Thyroid Health
  • Bone Strength
  • Healthy Heart and Blood Pressure††
  • Live Probiotics and Enzymes Support Healthy Digestion

I've had a lot of success with homeopathic remedies for insomnia. I do switch up the homeopathic remedies that I use so my body doesn't get used to one and I won't "prove" a remedy. I love that there aren't any contraindications between homeopathic remedies and medications. *

Uses: May help temporarily relieve:
  • Symptoms of insomnia
  • Occasional sleeplessness
  • Difficulty falling asleep

I'm a total hair product junkie. It's hard NOT to be one when you have very difficult and damaged hair! This product is definitely like an oil despite being called a serum. It is brand new to me and so far I like it. It doesn't weigh my hair down and really does help with frizz, it only takes a few drops. I feel like it is doing good things for my hair and scalp. It seems to have been removed from iHerb's website now. Not sure if that is temporary or not.

"This intensive oil serum is perfect for those who regularly straighten, perm or heat style their hair, as well as kinky, curly or wavy natural styles. Effectively penetrates to treat the scalp and each hair strand with nutrients, minerals and vitamins, bringing damaged or chemically processed hair back to life. Nutrient-rich Jamaican Black Castor Oil and organic Shea Butter help support healthy growth by strengthening and conditioning hair, increasing its resistance to breakage. Peppermint stimulates the scalp for an invigorating experience."

This eye cream is an old favourite of mine. I've tried many eye creams and serums and I always go back to this one or Olay's Ultimate Eye cream, they both work equally well for my hooded eyes but this one is natural. Although the effect is temporary I'll take it! This large 1oz size lasts for a long time. Most eye creams are only 15ml so this one is twice as much.
  • With Organic Aloe, Arnica and Vitamin K
  • Paraben-Free
  • Fragrance-Free
  • Anti-Aging Hydration Formula
"Inspired by the antioxidant benefits of the exotic goji berry, Goji Berry Eye Cream represents a breakthrough in anti-aging eye care wellness. We combined the nutrient-rich goji berry [Himalayan Lycium Berry] with specially selected moisturizing and health-promoting skin care ingredients including organic aloe, arnica and vitamin K, well-known for reducing swelling around eyes and soothing away puffiness."

I've been purchasing Sierra Bees lip balms for years. They are natural and actually work well at moisturizing my lips. Plus they are super inexpensive. I always stock up when they are on sale and love to gift them to friends and family.
  • Featuring Sustainably Sourced Beeswax, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil & Vitamin E
  • Formulated to be: USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Cruelty-Free
  • Made with Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable Ingredients
  • No Sulfates, No Preservatives, No Artificial Fragrances & No Animal Testing
  • Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth

These are a repurchase for me. I love having these on hand, not only to remove face masks but to use with my cleanser for gentle exfoliation. They make a great companion to any face cleanser to help remove more makeup, dirt, and debris.

"The Mask Remover Sponges are premium, spa-quality sponges that are designed to quickly wipe away facial masks, mess-free. Made from wood pulp, these sponges boost the effectiveness of masks by gently exfoliating the skin for a smoother, more radiant appearance."

I heard so much about this lip balm that I had to try it! It is quite thick in consistency and does a great job of moisturizing the lips. It's quite long-lasting too and has a subtle hint of colour. This big tube should last quite a while. ELF is a cruelty-free brand. This product is no longer on iHerb's website but it is available on Amazon in Berry, Peach, Rose, and Mint.

"Infused with Jojoba Oil Repairs dry lips Adds a sheer wash of color An intense lip balm treatment that gives you the ultimate hydrated and plumped lips."

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest iHerb Haul! If you use discount code AGU725 or use this link, you will save money on your entire order!

Happy Shopping!

Marshall's and Winner's Holiday Gift Ideas and a Haul!

I was in need of some serious retail therapy, so I hit up my local Marshall's and Winner's stores. Luckily I have both stores 5 minutes from my house.

I needed to restock my hair clips (shown near end of this post) that I use for sectioning my hair when styling and for when I do my highlights as all of my previous ones had broken. Luckily, I found a set of them at Winner's. As you'll see, I found many other great deals and fabulous finds that I'll share with you here. They are already getting some great gift sets in stores for the holidays!

Note: Everything I purchased will be shown at the end of this post.

Let's see what I spotted in my local Marshall's and Winner's stores...

These gorgeous boots are by Aldo. I definitely would have snatched them up when I was younger. I very rarely wear heels anymore, so I left them for another lucky person.

I spotted this adorable mug in the checkout aisle. It was only $4.99. Marshall's and Winner's always have the cutest mugs.

I thought these 7 For All Mankind camo ankle rainboots were adorable. They were on sale for only $24. But since I already own a pair of rainboots, I also left these behind.

I spotted these Union Bay combat boots at the first store that I went to. They seemed like great quality and I have wanted a pair of boots just like these for a few years now, so I went to another store, found my size and scooped them up. I wear between 8.5 - 9 depending on the cut. The 8.5 fit me perfectly in these, so if you are between sizes, I would probably go with the smaller size.

I'm not really sure how I ended up in the sock aisle as I didn't think that I needed any socks. 😄 Turns out that I did. When I saw these socks with the padded heel, I realized they might be just what I needed for my shoes that cut up my heels. I ended up finding the same type of socks by Skechers and went with those ones because I felt that the Puma's were too sporty for the shoes I wanted to wear them with. But, I would def. go with the Puma's for a more sporty shoe. Price $12.99 for 6 pairs. Skechers were $9.99 for 6 pairs.

This ring light (similar) was unexpected but a great find. $29.99

There were quite a few of these cute Snuggle Buddy plush toys (similar) that you can microwave and use to warm yourself up. This would definitely make a great gift for the chilly person in your life.  I believe they were $19.99.

This set of Oasis 7 foot masks (similar) would be a great gift for anyone who could use a little pampering. This set includes 4 masks (2 peeling, 2 moisturizing) for $12.99.

This Estee Lauder Travel in Color gift set is a great deal at $29.99 and would make a great gift for the beauty lover in your life.

Gift sets shown here by Tocca and Laneige. Laneige is super popular right now and would be a great gift for the skincare enthusiast. Tocca $16.99/ Laneige $34.99.

This Clinique gift set is another item that would make a fabulous gift. Can't recall the price on this one but I'm pretty certain it was under $30.

What a great find this Mac set was! Any die hard Mac fan would love it. I believe it was $19.99.

Here we have a Clinique Acne clearing gift set as well as Glam Glow's Hydration Love Fest Set.

This Shiseido gift set would make a great stocking stuffer. I've never tried this brand but I definitely should. My Mother always used Shiseido back in the day.

I'm always interested in trying new hair products, especially anything geared towards "anti-breakage." This would also make a great gift for someone you know who struggles with damaged or brittle hair.

Rude Cosmetics Bite Me Eyeshadow Palette includes an eyeliner as well. Rude Cosmetics is very affordable and good quality. I've been seeing them a lot lately at Marshall's and Winner's. Great stocking stuffer for the makeup lover in your life.

All of these hair tools looked so enticing from Conair to Chi, I want to try them all! The makeup mirror (similarlooks fabulous too.

I love Marshall's and Winner's for their Haircare products. They have a lot of high end products at greatly reduced prices. I didn't even know that Dr. PawPaw had a hair treatment and I'm curious about it! I used to use the BioSilk Silk Therapy back in the day, I should probably try it again.

Another great gift idea with this heating pad. I personally can't live without mine. If I didn't have one, I would def. have scooped this one up.

Marshall's and Winner's is also a great place to find all-natural products like the Giovanni hair products shown above. It's also a great place to find a large selection of all-natural deodorants and other bath products.

Here are some more high-end skincare gift sets, including Eve Lom which I've heard so much about.

And, more hair tools that look pretty amazing! I'm very curious about the Hot Tools hair styling brushas I have the Revlon one, but rarely use it as I find it quite hot and thus damaging.

This Cortex Beauty Beyond Styler hair styling set is VERY intriguing! It retails for $250 CAD!  It is giving me Dyson vibes but much cheaper. It was around $50 or $60.

Here's a glimpse of one endcap full of beauty storage ideas, gift sets, and quite a bit of Marc Jacobs Beauty including their blush, bronzer, and highlight trios for only $24.99!

Below is what I ended up purchasing. Yes, I went a little ham on refreshing my nail polish collection and sports bras. And to think, I only went in for the hair clips 😅

KMS Moist Repair Hair Conditioner on clearance for $10 / Retail $47CAD!
Foxy Bae Leave in Hair Mask on clearance for $8 (My current favourite leave in conditioner- full review linked here)
OPI nail polish in Barefoot in Barcelona $6.99
China Glaze Nail Polish in Kill the Lights $4.99
Orly nail Polish in Coming up Roses $4.99

I found so many amazing deals on sports bras! I wear sports bras as my daily bras and to sleep in so I couldn't pass these up for $5-$7 per bra!

Pictured above is a 2 pack of Reebok (RBX) sports bras on clearance for $10. The retail tag says $58 and that is probably in USD. I sized up for a comfy fit.

Pictured above are 2 Puma sports bras. (similar) Both were on clearance for $7 each! Similar I sized up in both for a comfy fit.

This Rae Dunn sports bra was on clearance for only $6! (Unable to find online).

I'm definitely stocked up on sports bras for a while. I saw many others name brand sports bras on clearance for the same prices that I paid. It was very tempting to purchase them all at such great prices!

Last but not least, here are the Union Bay Hayden boots that I purchased for $49.99 (retail $60 USD) and the Skechers socks (similarfor $9.99

I hope you enjoyed this "shop with me" so to speak. Next time, I really have to get some clothing pics as well as some photos from other departments. There was just so much in store. I am definitely going back. There are some candles that I need to pick up and I wouldn't  mind checking out some of the bedding. But the clearance racks will always be my favourite spot to check out!

Happy Shopping! 🛒

iHerb Haul | Health, Supplements, Beauty

It's been a long time since I shared an iHerb haul. I shop there pretty much every month and have since I've had a computer... aka, a very long time. They have the best prices even with the Canadian exchange rate, shipping and prepaid taxes!

Today, I wanted to share my purchases as I ordered quite a few items this time.

Nature's Answer Rhodiola
This is the best Rhodiola that I've tried so I keep going back to it. It's a great adaptogen that helps my body deal with stress. This one is 100mg, which I find is the right dose for me. Purchase HERE.

CocoCeps Dark Chocolate Cocoa Beverage
I've been drinking this in my morning protein smoothies for as long as I can remember. It contains certified organic unsweetened dark cocoa plus Cordyceps and Reishi Powders. Excellent for immunity, heart health, energy and provides antioxidants. Purchase HERE.

Now Foods Glycine Pure Powder 1lb
I purchased this for sleep as it's reported to promote restful sleep. I'm not sure that it's doing anything for my sleep, as I still have sleep issues, but what I did notice while taking this is that it helps with daytime stress. I need to take a whole teaspoon in my water bottle to notice a difference. I believe the recommended dose is 1/4 tsp. I ran this by my Doctor and he told me it's okay for me to be taking 1 tsp as it's water soluble, meaning you'll just pee out what you don't use. :) Purchase HERE.

Brain Awakening Magnesium Supplement
I actually didn't order this, it just showed up in my order. It's funny because in all the years that I've been shopping with iHerb this has never happened before. I contacted them and they told me to keep it. I've been taking it but I really haven't noticed anything yet. I cannot find this on their site.

Now Foods Vitamin D 1000IU
This is my first time ordering Now Foods Vitamin D. Vitamin D is such an important vitamin as so many of us are deficient, especially in this part of the world where we don't get enough sunshine for much of the year. This has a dropper, offers 1000mg per drop, and is very affordable. D is fat-soluble, so I always take it with my fish oil capsule and preferably some food or drink with fat in it. Purchase HERE.

HyaFlex Hyaluronic Acid For Joints
I've been purchasing this for my cat for a while. I noticed a difference after the first time he took it, he went charging around the house about 2 hours after taking it. It's expensive, so I give him half of the recommended dose. There is also one for Dogs.

Now Foods 5-HTP 50mg
I keep this on rotation for my insomnia issues. I prefer the 50mg so I have the option of taking 50mg or more vs. the 100mg caps. 5-HTP often helps put me into zzz land. As a side benefit, it helps to improve my mood as well. I guess I should really take it more often :D Purchase HERE.

Jarrow Milk Thistle
Milk thistle is great for our liver. I actually purchased this because I read that it's good for balancing hormones on top of the fact that it would help my liver, so win-win. This is a great brand and it's very affordable. Purchase HERE.

Wet Brush Mini
I have a large wet./dry brush and I like it so much that I wanted the mini for my purse. This one was only a few dollars and works just as well as the full size. Can be Purchased HERE.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my iHerb haul!

If you haven't shopped with iHerb before, I can highly recommend them. They have amazing prices, super fast shipping, and excellent customer service!

My tips for shopping iHerb: I try to spend the amount that will get me free shipping if they are offering it, otherwise, I go for the cheapest shipping method with taxes prepaid. I use a discount code each time like the one shared below. I pay in my own currency as my credit card conversion will be more than iHerb's conversion. I always choose to prepay the taxes, you'll save the customs fees and it makes shipping much faster, too!

*You can save $$$ on your orders with iHerb by entering discount code AGU725 into your cart or just click this link to save! This code can be used by anyone and can be used every time you shop!

Remember to always check with your health care practitioner before beginning any new supplements.

Marshall's Canada Spring Home + Beauty Haul! #LoveMarshalls

I just love shopping trips to stores like Winners and Marshalls. You never know when you're going to strike gold and find those amazing items at great prices.

I popped into Marshalls looking for a storage container (cause who can't use that!) and ended up finding just what I was looking for and more! I'm kinda shocked that I didn't buy any clothes since I am total fashion junkie!

Anyhoo, I thought I'd share what I scored! If you're in the market for any of these items, maybe you can find them at your local Winners/Marshalls/ TJMaxx etc..

This wooden storage caddy is actually what I went into the store looking for. It's a bit smaller and more shallow than what I wanted but I think it will do the job. The brand is Polish'd and I was unable to find this brand online. It was on sale for $13CAD from $15CAD. 😍

I've been looking for a new wallet for quite some time. My current one has been broken for a while and I'm quite superstitious about things like that. I feel that if your wallet (which holds your money) is broken, it should be replaced. Well, I finally found the right size with the right compartments with this Nanette Lepore wallet. This wallet has RFID Protection, this is a special lining that protects your credit cards from identity theft. The name on the tag is "PVC French Purse In Bloom." The suggested retail price was $34USD. Marshall's price was $16.99CAD but it was on sale for only $12CAD. Score!

Lastly, is this beautiful BH Cosmetics Bronze Paradise Eye and Cheek Palette which houses 9 eyeshadows plus a bronzer and a highlighter. I have never tried anything by this brand before because I like to see makeup items in person before I purchase them, and I'm pretty sure that BH Cosmetics is only available online for the most part. This palette has some great neutrals (champagne, gold, bronze, taupe, matte brown etc) plus a few pops of colour. And, it has a great big mirror! It appeared that only the highlighter had been swatched so I sprayed the entire palette with alcohol once I got home. I tested out a few of the eyeshadows after I sanitized them and they seem AMAZING!!! This palette was only $12.99CAD.

This palette is Vegan and paraben free!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I scored at my local Marshalls. After these great finds, I definitely have the urge to go back and see what else I can find!

Let me know what you've scored recently.

Enjoy the rest of the week, everyone! 💓

Iherb Haul | Skincare, Makeup, Health, Supplements

I haven't done an iHerb haul in quite a while but I thought I'd share my latest purchases as some are my holy grail products and others are new to me, and some of them may interest you, too.

As always, I will share links to products if you'd like to get more information or purchase them yourself. Note: I don't share the prices because they are forever changing.

Health

Madre Labs CocoCeps Organic Cocoa Beverage
This is my absolute favourite unsweetened cocoa powder which I use to make my morning smoothies. It's not only organic but it contains immune-boosting Cordyceps and Reishi mushroom powders. I have a really bad aversion to mushrooms, so this is one way that I can get the health benefits without having to eat mushrooms. NO, you cannot taste them. I add this to unsweetened cashew milk, with some stevia, and whey protein powder.

CocoCeps is a Premium, Certified Organic, 100% Natural (Non-Alkalized) Dark Cocoa Beverage, containing a Full-Spectrum Blend of Micronized Cordyceps and Reishi Mushrooms. This innovative Cocoa Blend from Madre Labs is the first to use MicroFungi – micronized mushroom powders, specially processed to greatly reduce particle size and assist with bioavailability.

Now Foods Glycine Pure Powder
Glycine is an amino acid. It provides neurotransmitter support and promotes restful sleep. I have chronic and severe insomnia, so I'm always looking for new products to try as my body seems to get used to most products that work for me, so I'm constantly having to switch things up. I have high hopes for this product and it's easy to take. Just mix a teaspoon of this powder in water and drink. There are over 150 servings in this bottle!

Glycine is the smallest and simplest amino acid, making it versatile for use in a wide range of functions. Glycine is necessary for the production of glutathione, DNA, creatine, bile, hemoglobin, and most proteins. It also helps to promote glycogen storage, thereby making glucose readily available for energy production. Glycine also functions as a calming neurotransmitter in the brain, where it facilitates nerve impulses and is important for the maintenance of healthy sleep patterns.

Jarrow Max DHA Fish Oil
This is my favourite fish oil. I've tried others but I always go back to this one. As the name implies, it has a high dose of DHA. The capsules are small and easy to take. I only take one a day so this is a 3 months supply for me. And, no fishy burps or after taste from this one.

DHA is the predominant fatty acid in the brain, nervous system and retina of humans. DHA is important for fetal and infantile neurological development. DHA also supports neurological function in seniors.

Nature's Bounty Sublingual B Complex
This is another new product for me. I'm excited to try it as it has great reviews on iHerb. I was looking to repurchase my Now Foods B12 (which I take because I rarely eat meat), and while searching on iHerb's website, I came across this product. It has the B12 that I was after but in addition to that, it contains B2, Niacin, B6, and Pantothenic Acid.

This liquid provides an excellent source of B-Complex vitamins to help safeguard a sufficient daily intake. The B-Complex is essential for the maintenance of healthy nervous tissue. The B Vitamins play a role in energy metabolism in the body.

Beauty

George's Always Active Aloe Vera Mist
This is another staple in my beauty arsenal. I will never be without it. I use it after cleansing my skin and in between layering all of my skincare. I also use it to set my makeup or if my makeup is a little too powdery. It's very hydrating, all natural, and has the most beautiful fine mist. This bottle lasts forever, too!

Ingredients: 100% "always active" aloe vera distillate

Elf Perfect Finish HD Powder
This is another new product that I'll be testing out. I've heard great things about it and that it may be comparable to It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Powder at a fraction of the price. It's supposed to blur imperfections and it is only $6! It's also cruelty-free! Elf Cosmetics has some real winning products in their lineup, hopefully, this will be one of them. I will do a full review once I've tested it out for at least a week.

Versatile, translucent pressed finishing powder helps set makeup, reduce shine and slightly mattify skin. Microfine particles help fill in fine lines and blur imperfections to create a "soft focus" effect on the skin. Designed to be used with high-definition camera technology but also perfect for everyday wear.

You can get 5% off of your entire order at iHerb with this link. Or just apply code AGU725 to your order during the checkout process.

Note: iHerb is offering free shipping to Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand right now for orders over $40USD. Ends Dec 31st 10am pst.
