The Best Product For Dry, Damaged, Brittle Hair | Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength Fortifying Conditioner

I'm a hair product junkie! Having such difficult hair my entire life has led me down the road of trying out endless hair products, always looking for the next best thing.

Over the last couple of years, my hair has become even worse. It is now very fragile and brittle. With some grey hairs coming in and the texture seemed to change after getting covid in 2022 (not to mention extreme hair loss).

I recently stumbled upon Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength fortifying conditioner for weak, breakage prone hair, so I just had to try it. This products key ingredient is castor oil, which is known to make hair healthier and even aid in hair growth.

I decided to start out with just the conditioner as I still have about 5000 bottles of shampoo to finish and I figured the conditioner would be a better gage of its efficacy.

Product Claims:
  • MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER FOR CURLY HAIR: Helps target weak hair, restoring intense moisture and strengthening hair so each strand is stronger from root to tip; Can act as a hair detangler so there’s less breakage and curls can keep its length
  • FOR WEAK, BREAKAGE-PRONE HAIR: Our paraben free deep conditioner for dry damaged hair, blended with Castor Oil, Black Cumin Seed & Ginger to support the strength of curls as they grow; Delivers 15x stronger hair & 94% less breakage in one use
  • COILY, CURLY, WAVY HAIR PRODUCTS: Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength created for natural hair and 4C, 4B, 4A, 3C, 3B, 3A, 2C, 2B curl types; Complete the routine: Curly Hair Shampoo, Leave in Cream & Hair Oil to improve manageability and frizz control

After the first use, my rough, frizzy and brittle hair felt like a completely different head of hair after blow drying it. My hair became smooth and soft, I couldn't stop touching it! My hair was much more hydrated and didn't feel as fragile and brittle. I did find that I couldn't go as long without washing it after the first use. I went 2 days without washing vs. 3. After my hair got used to the product, I am back to shampooing every 3 days now.

This product really lives up to its claims. It's my favorite hair product now and I'm definitely going to add the shampoo to my routine and I'm hoping my results will be even better.

You can use the conditioner as a mask or regular conditioner.  I honestly could get rid of all my other conditioners and just use this one and feel my hair will be far healthier in the long run.

At only $11.99, you just can't go wrong! Purchased on Amazon.

VIICode O₂M Oxygen Eye Mask For All Night Review

I recently received the VIICode O₂M Oxygen Eye Mask For All Night to try. I was pretty excited as I've suffered from a lifetime of undereye bags and puffiness. I have been advised by many Doctors that the only way to treat my under-eye bags is through surgery. Since I'm very leary of this type of surgery, I'm always trying out products in the hopes that I will find some that actually help reduce my under-eye bags. Unfortunately, It's a difficult area to treat and most products leave me disappointed. However, I stayed hopeful and I was very surprised at my results with VIICode's Eye Masks!

VIIcode oxygen eye mask (VIIcode pronounce 'vee too code') For All Night is intended for use at night time as the name implies.

About the Brand:
The Victor family boasts a rich skincare history dating back over 200 years. Today, their products have been further enhanced using modern scientific research technology. All rare plant ingredients used are hand-selected with care, direct from nature. Each skincare product is made using natural, safe and premium quality ingredients to deliver the most incredible results.

Contains Rare Plant Ingredients - VIIcode’s specific eye patch contains rare plant ingredients, like Ecological Oxygen Plant Extraction from the rare plant Vadaniya – directly from the Alps, along with marigold, welwitschia mirabilis ,revitalizing fern, sargassum pallidum.

Claims to: take years off your appearance by reducing dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and bags, even after the initial application.

Usage tips:
1) There are 6 treatments/box and you can use 3 treatments/week or whenever you need a quick fix!
2) For best results, use the masks 6-8 hours while sleeping. If you feel uncomfortable sleeping with the masks on, wear them 2-4 hours during the day or before bed.
3) Make sure skin is clean, dry and free of any creams or serums so that the mask can adhere better to the skin.

Each treatment is individually packaged and sealed so your next treatment is always fresh and they can be taken on the go.

I decided to try these out on a night when I was suffering from a migraine and needed a little TLC.

After washing and drying my face, I peeled off the protective film from each eye patch and placed them on my under-eye area. As directed, I gently massaged the eye masks from inner to outer corner for 2 minutes. Then I left the eye masks on while I watched TV and relaxed for the evening. I knew I probably wouldn't sleep in them due to my insomnia, so I gave myself enough time to keep them on for a few hours.

It didn't take long to get used to wearing the eye masks. After a few minutes, I forgot they were even there. I was also able to wear glasses over top of them without any issues.

Note: all photos are makeup-free and unaltered

As you can see from my makeup-free before picture, I have pretty obvious under-eye puffiness. In my case it's hereditary and it's very difficult to treat with products. The fact that I was suffering from a migraine on this day probably made the issue worse.

The above photo was taken at night right after applying my eye masks. I proceeded to settle down for the night and stream some of my favourite shows while wearing the masks.

After photo taken the next morning after one treatment

I ended up wearing the masks for 3 hours on this night. You can sleep in them but they don't recommend wearing them for more than 8 hours. I gently peeled the masks off after 3 hours and followed up with my regular skincare routine.

unaltered, makeup-free photos

As you can see from my before and after photos, there is quite a big difference in the appearance of my undereye bags, the smoothness and clarity of my skin, and even diminished lines. I was extremely happy with the results and very pleasantly surprised.

In the after photos, I was on day 2 of my migraine yet I looked more rested, even though I really wasn't. However, I will say that the whole treatment experience at night time was very relaxing as I find with most masks. A little self-care can go a long way, especially when you have products that deliver results like VIICode eye masks.

I am definitely looking forward to more treatments with these masks. They would be perfect to use before a special event or anytime you need to look and feel your absolute best. And thanks to their portability, you can take them with you anywhere you go. It always makes me happy when I find a product that really lives up to its claims!

What a great gift or stocking stuffer these would make, too!

Happy masking! 👀

10 Things I No Longer Purchase | Money Saving Tips

Today, I wanted to share with you 10 items and/or services that I no longer purchase. Some have been conscious decisions for one reason or another and others were strictly done to save some money. All were fairly simple to give up and collectively, they ended up saving us heaps of cash! So let's have a look at the 10 items that I no longer purchase.

1. Magazines

I stopped buying magazines and magazine subscriptions over a decade ago. It felt like such a waste, not only financially, but environmentally too. It was a pretty easy habit to break and I rarely miss it.

2. Take Out Coffee/ Tea

Here's another one that I quit over a decade ago. I can make my own coffee and tea just as well, if not better than take-out coffee shops. And, it costs me pennies to make it myself.  The savings on this one was huge in the long run!

3 + 4. Bottled Water + Soda

This is yet another one that I quit buying many moons ago. Instead of bottled water, I use a refillable bottle and fill it with filtered water. Soda took some willpower to kick the habit, but once you break it, you won't miss it. I replaced it by drinking more water and adding lemon, some fruit, homemade ìced tea, and even those flavoured water enhancers. My absolute favourite is Crystal Light's Strawberry Lemonbabe, but Mio has some good ones too. They are very refreshing and a healthier alternative to soda or diet soda. You'll not only be helping your pocketbook and health, but the environment, too.

5. CD/DVDs

I honestly don't remember the last time that I purchased a DVD or CD! Everything can be found online these days. This not only saves money but helps reduce clutter.

6. Backup Items (that aren't necessities)

I used to be so guilty of buying backups of products that I tried and loved. After years of doing this, I realized that most of the time the products would either expire by the time that I got to them, or I would have found other new favourites. I still purchase backups of necessities when they are on sale, Items like laundry detergent and similar necessities get a pass, so I will stock up on these when on sale.

7. Manicures and Pedicures

This one is another big money saver! The time and money it costs to go to get a mani and/ or pedi is a lot these days. There are so many great nail formulas and fun DIY nail art products that you can do your own mani and pedi at home for a fraction of the cost.

8. Pet Toys

I used to buy cat toys all the time. In fact, we kept having to donate them because we would collect so many and our cat didn't even have any interest in them. The ironic thing is that our cats have always had an interest in the "toys" that are free
Items like a twist tie, hair tie, toilet paper roll, and tin foil crinkled into a ball or just a piece of paper crinkled up into a ball. It's amazing how your pets can be entertained for hours with some little hair elastic, yet ignore the brand-new expensive toys.

9. Knick knacks + Souvenirs

I have to admit that I still struggle with this one a bit. Although I have stopped purchasing Knick knacks and souvenirs, I still get the urge to purchase them (hello dollar store). When this happens, I remind myself that we don't need more clutter or knick-knacks lying around the house. Unless it is something über-special, it's a no-buy for me.

10. Netflix / Streaming Services

I am not against having a streaming service. They are usually a fun and inexpensive form of entertainment. But, how many streaming services do you really need? I asked myself this very question and decided that we only needed one. We kept Amazon Prime, solely because it had the most bang for our buck since it includes free Prime shipping as well as many other features like Prime Video and Prime music etc. We also purchased Amazon's affordable Fire TV Stick which we absolutely love! You can load it up with all kinds of apps and stream live TV, movies, shows and so much more. Once we cancelled our Netflix, we never looked back. So if you want to save a few bucks, see what streaming service(s) you can let go of and cut the cord. After all, if you regret it, which i doubt you will, you can always sign up again.

I hope my no-buy list gave you some ideas on areas where you can start your own no-buy list so that you can start to save yourself some money and time, help the environment, and/or cut down on unnecessary clutter. And if you decide to purchase something now and then that's on your no-buy list, it's all good, rules were made to be broken, just be sure to get back to your no-buy list.

Iherb Haul | Health, Beauty, Skincare, Supplements + Discount Code

It's been quite a while since I shared an iHerb haul. I've still been shopping there regularly; I just haven't shared in a bit, so I figured it was about time. I've actually been shopping there since 2008 because their prices are so good, shipping is fast, and they usually have all the health products that I'm looking for.

This haul features some products that are new to me and some old favourites. I also have a discount code AGU725 that will save you $$$ whether you are new to iHerb or have previously shopped there.

This is a repurchase for me. It has many health and beauty benefits, so I love to make it a part of my everyday supplement routine.

"GLA (gamma-Linolenic acid), and linolenic acid are essential, polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are used by most cells in the body to produce soothing prostaglandins (intracellular hormone-like messengers), which help maintain the balance of many functions in the body."

Garden of Life makes some of my favourite supplements. They use raw whole foods in their multivitamin, they are non-GMO and I definitely notice a difference in how I feel when I take them. I can't say that for most multivitamins that I've tried.

"Vitamin Code® 50 & Wiser Women is a comprehensive whole food multi-nutrient formula, specifically formulated to meet the unique needs of women over 50, providing the nourishment the body craves to maintain optimal health and well-being.
Contains 23 powdered organically grown fruits and vegetables add supporting antioxidants, vitamins and nutrient cofactors."
  • Breast and Thyroid Health
  • Bone Strength
  • Healthy Heart and Blood Pressure††
  • Live Probiotics and Enzymes Support Healthy Digestion

I've had a lot of success with homeopathic remedies for insomnia. I do switch up the homeopathic remedies that I use so my body doesn't get used to one and I won't "prove" a remedy. I love that there aren't any contraindications between homeopathic remedies and medications. *

Uses: May help temporarily relieve:
  • Symptoms of insomnia
  • Occasional sleeplessness
  • Difficulty falling asleep

I'm a total hair product junkie. It's hard NOT to be one when you have very difficult and damaged hair! This product is definitely like an oil despite being called a serum. It is brand new to me and so far I like it. It doesn't weigh my hair down and really does help with frizz, it only takes a few drops. I feel like it is doing good things for my hair and scalp. It seems to have been removed from iHerb's website now. Not sure if that is temporary or not.

"This intensive oil serum is perfect for those who regularly straighten, perm or heat style their hair, as well as kinky, curly or wavy natural styles. Effectively penetrates to treat the scalp and each hair strand with nutrients, minerals and vitamins, bringing damaged or chemically processed hair back to life. Nutrient-rich Jamaican Black Castor Oil and organic Shea Butter help support healthy growth by strengthening and conditioning hair, increasing its resistance to breakage. Peppermint stimulates the scalp for an invigorating experience."

This eye cream is an old favourite of mine. I've tried many eye creams and serums and I always go back to this one or Olay's Ultimate Eye cream, they both work equally well for my hooded eyes but this one is natural. Although the effect is temporary I'll take it! This large 1oz size lasts for a long time. Most eye creams are only 15ml so this one is twice as much.
  • With Organic Aloe, Arnica and Vitamin K
  • Paraben-Free
  • Fragrance-Free
  • Anti-Aging Hydration Formula
"Inspired by the antioxidant benefits of the exotic goji berry, Goji Berry Eye Cream represents a breakthrough in anti-aging eye care wellness. We combined the nutrient-rich goji berry [Himalayan Lycium Berry] with specially selected moisturizing and health-promoting skin care ingredients including organic aloe, arnica and vitamin K, well-known for reducing swelling around eyes and soothing away puffiness."

I've been purchasing Sierra Bees lip balms for years. They are natural and actually work well at moisturizing my lips. Plus they are super inexpensive. I always stock up when they are on sale and love to gift them to friends and family.
  • Featuring Sustainably Sourced Beeswax, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil & Vitamin E
  • Formulated to be: USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Cruelty-Free
  • Made with Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable Ingredients
  • No Sulfates, No Preservatives, No Artificial Fragrances & No Animal Testing
  • Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth

These are a repurchase for me. I love having these on hand, not only to remove face masks but to use with my cleanser for gentle exfoliation. They make a great companion to any face cleanser to help remove more makeup, dirt, and debris.

"The Mask Remover Sponges are premium, spa-quality sponges that are designed to quickly wipe away facial masks, mess-free. Made from wood pulp, these sponges boost the effectiveness of masks by gently exfoliating the skin for a smoother, more radiant appearance."

I heard so much about this lip balm that I had to try it! It is quite thick in consistency and does a great job of moisturizing the lips. It's quite long-lasting too and has a subtle hint of colour. This big tube should last quite a while. ELF is a cruelty-free brand. This product is no longer on iHerb's website but it is available on Amazon in Berry, Peach, Rose, and Mint.

"Infused with Jojoba Oil Repairs dry lips Adds a sheer wash of color An intense lip balm treatment that gives you the ultimate hydrated and plumped lips."

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest iHerb Haul! If you use discount code AGU725 or use this link, you will save money on your entire order!

Happy Shopping!

Weekly Favourite | Youth to the People 15% Vitamin C + Caffeine Energy Serum Review

Welcome to another installment of our Weekly Favourite!

This week, I'm featuring Youth to the People's 15% Vitamin C + Caffeine Energy Serum. - SRP $68 USD/ 1oz.

I've been a huge fan of Vitamin C for the skin for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, I had gotten away from using it because I'm always trying out new skincare. I was planning on incorporating a Vitamin C serum back into my skincare routine and that's when Youth to the People's (YTTP) 15% Vitamin C + Caffeine Energy Serum landed on my desk- Talk about manifestation! I was so happy to begin using a vitamin C serum again as it a very powerful antioxidant and well known for its benefits with brightening the skin, lessening hyperpigmentation, and even building collagen in the skin.

I often hear dermatologists recommend Retin-A, sunscreen + a good moisturizer, and vitamin C for the skin. Using that as my basis for my new skincare routine, I added peptides to the mix because I'm a huge fan of them. After a bit of research, making sure that I wasn't using products that would cancel each other out, I came up with the following routine:

AM:
Cleanse, tone, YTTP Vitamin C + Caffeine Serum, sunscreen

PM:
Cleanse, tone, Retin-A, peptides, night cream

I've been following this regime for almost 3 weeks now and my skin and I are loving it!

About my skin type: Aging (over 50), combo, dehydrated, acne-prone, melasma.

BENEFITS (Taken from YTTP):
  • Ultra-stable 15% vitamin C
  • Non-irritating + great for sensitive skin
  • Fragrance-free + fresh scent from plant extracts
  • Lightweight + fast absorbing
  • Blends well + never sticky

KEY INGREDIENTS:
15% Vitamin C Complex: Three powerful sources of vitamin c are combined in our pro-grade formula—Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THD Ascorbate), and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate—for maximum efficacy and stability.

Yerba Mate + Guayusa: Naturally high in caffeine, this superleaf-derived extract enhances microcirculation to reduce morning puffiness.

Passion Fruit: High in antioxidants, helps scavenge for free radicals.

Dragon Fruit:
Promotes skin health and replenishes essential moisture.

Squalane: An emollient that provides weightless hydration, locking in moisture.

CLAIMS:
  • No added fragrance
  • 100% vegan ingredients
  • Premium superfood extracts
  • Recyclable packaging
  • Made in USA
  • No animal testing
  • No dimethicone
  • No parabens
  • No phthalates
  • No sulfates
  • No PEGs
The serum has a beautiful slip to it, it spreads easily and my skin drinks it up. I only need 2 pumps out of the 2-4 that is recommended, which means it will last for quite a while. I apply the serum to my face and neck, as well as my eye area. YTTP's website states that it is Ophthalmologist tested so it is safe for the eye area.

After the first use, I noticed a difference in how my skin looked, so it does have some immediate effects. My skin looked brighter, fresher, and had a healthy glow. After a few weeks, I notice my skin looking smoother, more even-toned, brighter, fresher, and younger overall. My skin also feels firmer to the touch. I also notice less puffiness around my eyes.

I am so glad that I decided to incorporate this serum into my skincare regime. I'm much happier with how my skin looks and I look forward to using it every morning. I have reactive skin and some vitamin C serums make me breakout. Luckily, I haven't had any reaction or breakouts whatsoever with this YTTP serum. I am looking forward to seeing further improvements as I continue to use this wonderful serum!

Stock photo 📷

Featured Product:

Where to buy:
Local grocery stores and /or pharmacies

"Lutein is one of two major carotenoids found in the human eye (macula and retina). It is thought to function as a light filter, protecting the eye tissues from sunlight damage. " - WebMD link to article

From Jamieson:

Each softgel is fortified with 1,600 mcg of zeaxanthin to help provide additional eye health support in conditions such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
  • Ultra-strength formula providing 40 mg of lutein per softgel
  • With Zeaxanthin and Lutein to provide a source of antioxidants
  • Supports optimal eye health
  • Helps to maintain eyesight in conditions such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (ARMD)
  • Helps to reduce the risk of developing cataracts
Like many people, I'm on my phone a lot these days. Our eyes are exposed to so much harmful blue light from all of our devices and the long-term effects aren't even fully known yet.

I definitely feel the eye strain from being on my devices so much, so I try to keep the blue light filter that's built into my phone in the on position, even during the daytime, although I don't always remember.  I also wear blue blocking glasses at nighttime. Even with all these blue light blocking mechanisms, I still feel eye strain and experience "floaters" which I cannot necessarily attribute to the blue lights, but I feel the need to take extra care of my eyes. Even without our devices, I feel it's important to pay more attention to our eye health, especially as we age.

Although I take an excellent multivitamin (Garden of Life's Vitamin Code), I wanted a specific supplements for eye health.  I came across Jamieson Lutein Ulta Strength on Amazon and I liked that it had a high dose of Lutein, 40 mg in one soft gel, plus other eye-health ingredients.  Because of the high dose of Lutein, you only need to take one softgel per day which makes it very convenient. Lutein was the main ingredient that I was looking for, as I know it as the "king" of supplements for eye health.

I ordered mine on Amazon and received it the next day and started taking it right away. Initially, I got quite a bad headache, verging on a migraine. But, it was on the opposite side from where I always get migraines, so I figured it might be the eye supplement causing it and I might not be able to continue with it. Luckily, the migraine subsided after a few days, as they usually do. I continued to take the Lutein supplement without any issues, thankfully.

Fast forward to 10 days later, and I definitely notice less eye strain since taking the Lutein supplement.  I actually noticed it after a few days of use. I also notice less "floaters" in my vision than usual. I am impressed and encouraged to keep taking this supplement. Hopefully, I can not only improve my eye health and vision but also prevent eye problems as I age.

I continue to use the blue light filter on my phone, use blue blocking glasses, and will definitely continue with this supplement. We only have one set of eyes and they deserve the utmost care. A good diet with a lot of colourful fruits and vegetables loaded with antioxidants is a good place to start. Adding a supplement for eye health that contains ingredients like Lutein feels like an extra layer of protection to me, especially since my diet is pretty horrible as of late. Hopefully, I'll have good things to report on my next eye exam as I definitely feel that this supplement is helping.

Monthly Empties | Health, Beauty, Hair, Makeup

This empties post is long overdue! My empties bin has been overflowing for months and I had to recycle some just so this post wasn't too long and/or redundant.

Here, I'll share what I used up or what I'm discarding for one reason or another with mini reviews, and whether I would repurchase them or not.

Links to products will be provided in the headings if I can find one.

Hair

This is the large sized bottle and it took me forever to use it up. I quite liked it but I recently tried FoxyBae's Leave-in Hair Mask (featured here) and I am preferring it to the It's a 10, at the moment.

Repurchase- I would like to try the version with keratin

I've always loved Biolage. This conditioning balm is great for dry and dehydrated hair. It definitely helps leave my dry hair feeling softer.

Repurchase- Yes

Skincare

Garnier Micellar Water for Dry/Sensitive Skin 400ml/ $15

This is a fabulous Micellar water. I use it as my AM cleanse and in the evening as my toner. It removes makeup, dirt, and oil and is gentle and doesn't dry out my skin.

Repurchase - Yes

I had really high hopes for this serum and I suppose it was okay but it didn't wow me. I did not notice any anti aging benefits like I did with the Sympli Peptide Serum listed below, now that one wowed me!!

Repurchase- Probably not but I'm not against trying it again because of the reasonable price

This is a great alternative to Prescription Retin A! I used it in place of my Retin A when I had run out and it made my skin look and feel great and it only takes a few drops. It's like a dry oil, and it is hydrating and non irritating. I found that I could use it in places where I can't apply my Retin A like the mouth and nose areas etc.

Repurchase- Yes, if I'm out of my prescription Retin A

This peptide serum blew me away! I read the reviews on iHerb when I saw it in the sale section of the website and I couldn't believe the reviews on it, so I had to try it for myself. Within 2 uses, my skin was so smoothed out and appeared much tighter aka less sagging. Read my full review on it here. There are no incentives to leave a positive review on iHerb, so I should have known but they just made it sound too good to be true. Luckily, it IS that good! You can use discount code AGU725 to get a discount on iHerb

Repurchase- I NEVER want to be without it! I have purchased 4 more so far!

I enjoyed using this moisturizer as it is nice and soothing and hydrating. I don't notice any special anti aging benefits aside from moisturization, so I probably wouldn't purchase it because of its price tag. I find that I can get other moisturizers that perform just as well for less money. eg. Cetaphil Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid.

Repurchase- If at a great price

Unfortunately, I was only able to use this on my neck as it made me breakout when I used it on my face. I did enjoy using it on my neck overtop of my serums and moisturizers to seal them in.

Repurchase- Possible for my neck only. Trying other neck creams for now

Makeup

Marc Jacobs Shameless Ýouthful Look Longwear Foundation 32ml/ $27

I loved this "foundation." I would consider it more of a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. It was very hydrating and had light-medium coverage that was very natural, just the way I like it. I found a cheap dupe though- Elf's BB Cream performs exactly the same for me at a fraction of the price! Read more about it here

Repurchase- If I find it at a great price again at Winner's or Marshall's!

Loved this mascara! It gave me the big and long lashes that I love! It retails for about $24. I don't mind forking out that much money for a mascara for a special occasion, but for everyday use, I prefer to use something more affordable that gives me similar results like Essence Lash Princess Mascara for $5.

Jennifer's Nude has been my favourite nude lipstick since it launched years ago! It's a pink/ nude and I think it would suit a lot of people. I still love it but don't wear lipstick very often since we are still wearing masks. Instead, I opt for tinted lip balms like Burt's Bees.

This was a gift from an online buddy and it became my favourite lip gloss. The colour is just what I like, a bit of a nude/ pink, my lips but better shade. It's super hydrating and really does make my lips look much fuller! There isn't any tingle or burn or anything, but it does work to make lips look more plump!

Health

I'm not that picky about my Vitamin D3 supplements, I just happen to enjoy taking them in a gummy form as it makes them convenient to take, and they're yummy so it's easy to remember to take them. I also prefer the 1000IU so I can customize my dose and take more or less, depending on whether I'm getting a lot of sunshine or not. My blood levels of vitamin D are good, so I will continue to take it.

Repurchase- Yes

Vitamin Code is my current favourite multi vitamin. I am rotating between this version for Women 50+ and the one below geared towards Women in general. I love that these are whole food vitamins that our bodies recognize and I feel better when I take them. I feel like they regulate my body as I sleep better and feel better overall. Garden of Life has several versions including ones for men, over 40 etc. Have a look at the ingredients and see which one has what your looking for. You really cannot go wrong with this brand, IMO.  Note: I sometimes take half of the recommended dose, depending on how I'm feeling, just to make my dollar go further.

Repurchase- Absolutely!

My thoughts on this multi are the same as for the one above by the same brand, just a different version.

Repurchase- Already have!

I literally cannot live without this product! I have severe and chronic insomnia and this works wonders for me considering how bad my insomnia is. I take half of the recommended dose as that works best for me and also makes the product last twice as long. I take one tablet nightly and once my sleep starts to become more restless, I then take a break from this supplement (or any melatonin containing supplement), after a short break, I can return to it and it works great. Sometimes I take one if I wake prematurely and it usually helps me go back to sleep. I've also found it at Costco.

Repurchase- Yes!

Astragalus is an adaptogenic herb with amino acids, trace minerals, and polyphenols. It's a great tonic and immune booster. It works as an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory, and anti aging properties. I took it for adrenal fatigue and felt it worked well for that. I have also taken it in the past when my immune system plummeted after I was struck by a streetcar, and I found that it did indeed boost my immune system as I stopped getting sick all the time. If you have bleached and damaged hair like me, you're probably always looking for the next best thing to help your hair look and feel better. I know I always am!

I saw this leave in hair mask by FoxyBae at Marshall's, and although I hadn't heard anything about it, I decided to give it a try as it was on clearance so I didn't have much to lose. I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm always eager full of hope when I get a new hair product full of promises of better looking and feeling hair.

Since I started doing my own highlights, and maybe because I've accumulated more greys, my hair texture is so dry, brittle, and rough, on top of already being naturally fine and frizzy. The only way to make my hair look semi-decent these days is to apply a lot of heat with heat tools. But, since I'm trying to avoid more damage, I try and stay away from heat tools other than a basic blow dry. I have naturally curly and frizzy hair, and like it smooth, so going Au Natural is not gonna happen.

Since I'm always trying new hair products, looking for something that REALLY works for my damaged and difficult hair, I'm usually disappointed.  I came home with my new FoxyBae leave in hair mask, eager to try it, but ready for disappointment.  I shampood and conditioned as usual, then applied FoxyBae's leave in mask in place of my other leave in conditioners and treatments.  I used about 10 pumps, sprayed into the palm of my hand because it has a lotion consistency, this made for a more even application.  After blow drying my hair, I was wowed! Nothing has made my dry and rough hair feel soft like FoxyBae's Leave in Mask did, and it actually controls my frizz, and doesn't weigh my hair down at all. Plus, it didn't just work the first time (like some products can), it has kept my hair feeling soft and looking so much healthier and presentable than before each and every time that I've used it!

I try not to buy backups of products anymore but I'm going to have to do just that! I'm afraid of running out of this fabulous hair-changing mask! And, hoping they don't ever discontinue it or change the formula!

I don't know if it's making my hair any healthier, but it's making my hair look and feel SO much better! I still have other products that are supposed to "repair" damaged hair, but none of them have improved the look and feel of my hair like this product has.

If you have bleached, or dry, or damaged hair that feels rough in texture,  I highly recommend you give this and try.. then come back here and let me know how it worked for you!

This is hands-down the best leave in hair product that I've ever tried! I'm so glad we found each other FoxyBae! 💖
