Weekly Favourite | Flexitol Heel Magic Review

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's,  Grandmom's, and Fur Mom's! 🌸

Today, I'm sharing this week's standout product which happens to be Flexitol Heel Magic. It's my secret weapon to getting pedi-ready in a jiffy.

I'm admittedly lazy when  it comes to pedicures and I can't go for a pedicure since my feet are super ticklish if touched by others 😅. Flexitol Heel Magic truly is magic. It's so easy to use and takes seconds to apply. I wake up to soft smooth feet every time.

From Flexitol:

Flexitol Heel Magic is a quick and easy to apply treatment for feet with dry skin or rough, cracked heels. It contains a highly concentrated moisturizing base that delivers visible results after 3 days on stubborn cracks.

Its innovative blend of emollients includes Shea Butter, Lanolin, Vitamin E, Beeswax and Olive Oil to soften and protect dry, scaly and cracked heels.Practical, no mess stick applicator format:
  • no need to touch the product with hands
  • Breakthrough product that hydrates dry & cracked heels
  • Diabetic friendly

Easy application

I rub Flexitol Heel Magic all over my feet with the convenient, mess-free applicator before bed, then put on a pair of socks to let Flexitol work its magic overnight. I wake up with soft, smooth, sandal-ready feet in the morning. Flexitol recommends using it AM and PM, although I generally only use it at night and get great results. My partner also uses Flexitol and it also works great on his thick calloused feet.

It's truly an amazing and unique product,  and the quickest and easiest way to great looking sandal-ready feet!

It's only $10.99 USD for 2.5 oz and lasts for a long time!

Mani Monday | Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color Making Mauves #156

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Colour Making Mauves #156

Today, I wanted to share my new favourite nail polish with you! I think it's a new colour to the line. It's Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri in Making Mauves #156. It's a very unique colour. It's a mix of grey, taupe, with some hints of lilac. It looks like a cream polish but it has a bit of a sheen to it. It's really unique!

It makes a great neutral look that goes with anything. It's soft, classy, but modern at the same time. Suitable for any occasion. The slight sheen finish to it really makes it different. I like how one coat of this polish looks over 2 coats, it's lighter and I just prefer it. This is a great formula and it does dry fast.

I have to work on my nail painting skills which frankly will probably not get any better. But, I did buy some nail strips a while back on eBay that I need to play around with so I can add some spice to my basic manicure. But, the point of this post isn't a tutorial, it's just to share this beautiful colour with you.

I'm not wearing a base or top coat. Maybe I need to add those to smooth out my rough nails.

Have you tried this colour? What is your favourite nail colour for Fall?

Tools for an at Home Sunday Spa Day! #DIY

Sometimes we all need a little pampering and what's better than a little R&R. Sometimes, I find that an at home spa day at the end of a week can give me just what I need after a stressful week or event. We don't all have the time or money to go to an actual spa, it would be nice, but it can be just as nice (if not better) to give yourself a little pampering at home.  Here, I'll share the tools I am using right now for my mini at home spa day (which I happen to be doing today!)

To start, get your favourite scented candle going or a diffuser with your favourite essential oils. Somehow, it always creates a more relaxing atmosphere.

Next, grab your favourite tea or some lemon and water. I like to choose a detox tea or a relaxing one. Some of my favourite teas for relaxation are Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer or Lemon Balm (which I'm currently out of.) If you feel you need a detox, try some lemon in water, it's a good idea to drink this daily anyways- your liver and skin will thank you. Or, choose a detox tea, there are  a lot of good ones. The one pictured is Organic Lemon EveryDay Detox by Traditional Medicinals.

An at home spa day wouldn't be complete without a nice bath. Grab some Epsom Salts for relaxation, your favourite essential oil (I like lavender) and your favourite bubble bath. To make it more detoxifying you can add a few drops of tea tree oil or a box of baking soda (which would also make your skin super soft!)

Our hair can usually use some pampering too, I know mine does. Get out your favourite deep conditioning mask and leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Another favourite of mine is to put organic coconut oil on my dry hair before shampooing and leave it on for 10 minutes or so.

Next, you'll want to pamper your skin. Choose an exfoliator to start with and depending on your skins needs, follow up with a detoxifying or hydrating mask. These are my 2 favourites to pamper my skin; Pure and Simple's Sensitive Skin Exfoliant + Face mask followed by Pure and Simple's Rejuvenating Rosehip Mask.

Don't forget your hands and feet! I like to use the Amope electronic foot file on dry feet before I bathe. I was lucky enough to get this for free from ChickAdivor for trial purposes and it really does a great job- because it's rotating it does all the elbow work for you! I also like to use a crystal nail file for my nails as these files seem to last a life time!  Next, choose whatever nail polish colours make you feel joy on this day.

Finally, grab your favourite magazine or book or anything you enjoy to kick-back and relax. Whether it's an audible book, a movie or maybe your favourite TV show. Take this time for yourself and escape for a little while.

What are your favourite things to do to relax and unwind?
