Summer is finally here, officially tomorrow! 🌞 Which means many of us will be getting outside a whole lot more and getting a lot more exposure to the damaging rays of the sun. So it's time to step up our suncare game and protect ourselves and our families from damaging UVA and UVB rays which pose a risk for sun damage, aging skin, and skin cancer.
Although it's a good thing to wear sunscreen all year round, it's important to take extra precautions during the Summer.
When looking for a good sunscreen, look for ones that offer both UVA and UVB protection. Mineral sunscreens are my favourite way to go as they are natural and they physically block UV rays. On the other hand, chemical sunscreens filter the rays and may pose potential health problems. This is a great choice when you're going in the water or playing sports as it's water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes. It has a thick consistency and doesn't leave a white cast like many mineral sunscreens can. It's naturally derived, doesn't contain chemical sunscreens, and is non-nano. It offers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

Live Clean Face Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 45:
This is my favourite SPF to use on my face because it is non-comedogenic and therefore, I don't breakout! Many sunscreens will make me breakout if used on my face but this one does not. It also does not leave a white cast like many mineral sunscreens can. Again, no chemical sunscreens in this on and non-nano as well. This one also offers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

Live Clean Sport Mineral Sunscreen Spray SPF 30:
This spray form is a great choice as it's so easy to apply with its continuous spray nozzle. It's especially helpful if you don't have someone around to help you get areas that you have difficulty reaching. This one offers water and sweat resistant protection for up to 40 minutes. Like the others, this offers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection and does not contain any chemical sunscreens, and is non-nano.
Medicinal Ingredients: Zinc Oxide 16.5%

This is a must-have! I always make sure we have some all year round as it has so many uses! It has such amazing healing properties and helps to heal skin that's been exposed to the sun and can be used for minor burns. Other precautions we can take is to wear a hat, use an umbrella (especially when at the beach), there are even clothes available that have sun protection built in (I've seen some at Old Navy). Don't forget to protect your eyes with a good pair of sunglasses that offer both UVA and UVB protection.
