I had always been a Blush fiend, then I had gotten away from wearing Blush for a while and just did my usual -load on the bronzer- but without the Blush.

Recently, I got the urge to try something new. I gave Nars Orgasm a try but I didn't like the glitter in it. Then, I heard this Covergirl Blush in "Love Me" was similar, so I had to give it a try, and I confess, I'm in love! ๐Ÿ˜

About:

Trublend So Flushed High Pigment Blush

TruBlend So Flushed High Pigment Blush delivers vivid, high-impact color in one swipe. This cream-feel, buildable powder is fall-out resistant and feels comfortable all day long.

Available in 4 shades.

My thoughts :

This is a gorgeous pink Blush with a gold sheen to it. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't quite pick up on the gorgeous gold sheen. I find it is similar to Nars' infamous Orgasm blush but I like the Covergirl one better as it has a sheen without the glitter. It is buildable, and should suit a wide range of skintones. Lasting time is very good and lasts throughout most of the day.

Covergirl Love Me Blush also makes a great blush for the newer draping technique. I use this blush higher up on my cheeks than I do with other blushes and place over top of my bronzer- kind of where you'd use a highlighter,  and blend up a bit towards my temples. And, I can skip the highlighter thanks to the gorgeous luminous glow from this blush! It definitely helps give  the skin a healthy youthful appearance , in my opinion. I also like to wear this blush up into the crease of my eye as a wash of eyeshadow.  It looks gorgeous and gives that monochromatic look when worn on the cheeks and the eyes.

It's a very generous sized blush and should last for a long time. I really think this is a score and the price is amazing as is the quality! I really hope they never stop making it, just in case I run out!

There are only 4 shades in Covergirl's Trublend So Flushed line, one of which is more like a bronzer. But, even with so few shades, I feel that there will be something for everyone. I certainly wouldn't mind trying them all!

The Best Multivitamin For Women Over 50

stock photo

I've been into supplements for as long as I can remember. I always believed that nature has a cure for most ailments, so I'm always searching for the best supplements to suit my needs and improve my life or health in some way. As a result, I've tried countless multivitamins. Most have little to no effect on me until my most recent discovery.

As we go through life, our needs are ever changing, so it's a good idea to look at those needs and find vitamins that address the current state of your health. It's also important to get blood work done to check your various levels and speak to your Doctor about any supplements you want to begin.

For me, it wasn't until the last few years that I started finding multivitamins that really made a difference in how I felt. It all started with the brand, Garden of Life- Who's probiotics have been a part of my life for over 20 years now! Their My Kind multivitamin was my favourite a couple of years ago. It really made a difference in how I was feeling overall. I love Garden of Life's vitamins for the quality, and because they are food based, and free of all the nasties.

Eventually, I decided to try their Vitamin Code multivitamin to see if I liked it better. I started with the one for Women and felt even better than I had with their My Kind Multi. I continued taking those for about 2 years, I'd say. Then recently, after hitting 50+, I decided to give their Vitamin Code for Women over 50 a shot. I figured if I felt better on the previous one, I'd just go back to it. Well, there will be no turning back- I feel even better on the one for Women over 50! I have more energy and  I am sleeping better- which says a lot because I've have long-standing and severe insomnia since 2002. My sleep isn't perfect by any means, but there is enough of an improvement that I will continue to buy this multi, even with it's steep-ish price tag compared to some drugstore multis. It's fair to say that when it comes to multivitamins, you get what you pay for. I still take other supplements alongside this multi, but if I was to only take one supplement, Vitamin Code 50 & Wiser Women, would be it.

I purchased the bottle with 120 veg caps and it's recommended to take 4 per day, however, I only take 2 per day. I may increase to see if there are even more improvements. I've been taking them for a month and I can definitely say, it's the best multivitamin that I've taken so far. A multivitamin won't replace a great diet, but it can definitely help to fill in the gaps.

Let's have a look at what makes these vitamins so incredible:

These vitamins are a bit pricey but worth it. I really trust the quality and I'm definitely reaping the benefits. I am also getting a 2 month supply by taking half of the recommended dose, at least for now. I can honestly say, after loads of trial and lots of error, this is my favourite multi to date.

They also have multivitamins for Men, Men over 50, a general one for Women, a weight loss multi, as well as Prenatal ones, etc. There is definitely something for everyone's needs. I honestly think that you can't go wrong with this brand. Just find the one that has the ingredients that meet your needs and give it a try, it may take some trial and error to find the right one, but it will be worth it.

Have a look and let me know if you try them.

Ipsy Beauty Bag June 2021

Here's a look at the June Ipsy bag that I received ๐Ÿ’„(received in july).

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy, they are a monthly beauty subscription that includes 5 deluxe beauty samples each month plus a makeup bag. Once you join, you fill out a personal profile and ipsy will customize your samples to match your preferences and profile information.

Retails for $12 USD per month. Shipping to Canada is $2.95 each month.

Ipsy also has add on items that you can choose if you like. The value of the add on items is very good compared to what you pay. The add on items ship for free with your monthly subscription.

Ipsy June 2021 beauty bag:

๐Ÿ”…Farah conceal and set brush
๐Ÿ”…IBY eyeshadow in cinnamon roll
๐Ÿ”…Tarte lash paint Mascara
๐Ÿ”…Tony moly Watermelon dew all over serum
๐Ÿ”…Coral sun SPF 15 coconut balm
๐Ÿ”…Makeup bag

Tony Moly, lip balm, Tarte Mascara

IBY eyeshadow in cinnamon roll

Farah conceal and set brush

Makeup bag

What do you think of this bag? I think the value isn't bad if you are in the USA. I definitely don't think a clear lip balm helps the bag's value as I can purchase one at the dollar store. Although my profile says that I have green eyes,I received copper eyeshadow which is not a good colour for me. This bag was Unfortunately a miss for me. However, I do appreciate the trial and the add on items ๐Ÿ’•

Ipsy is a good budget friendly beauty subscription that would make a great gift for the beauty enthusiast in your life or for yourself, of course. It's a good way to try out new skincare and makeup products without breaking the bank. It would also be a great choice for anyone who is just getting into beauty products.

You can learn more about Ipsy and sign up here.

Happy almost Friday! ๐Ÿ™Œ
