Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick Highlight When The Nude Strikes! Hot or Not!? #crueltyfree

I'm a huge fan of Wet n Wild cosmetics. They make some fabulous products at affordable prices and they are cruelty-free.  Like any line though, they have some products that are not so great but that is subjective as well.

I was on the search for the perfect cream highlighter that would be affordable and give me the glow that I'm looking for. I figured that I didn't have much to lose when I saw this new product by Wet n Wild, Afterall it was only about $5 CAD.

At the time that I purchased this, this shade "When the Nude Strikes," was the only shade available.

The cream formula is very creamy and easy to apply. It's very easy to control application which I liked.

I applied it to my cheeks using my fingertips or with cosmetic wedges/ sponges. Applied this way the product sheers out so you don't see the colour.

However, the product contains glitter (which doesn't show in the photos), but my face looked like a glitter bomb, which wasn't the "glow" that I was after. The name of the product made me think that I would get a glow and not glitter, but drugstore products are notorious for glitter.

If you do like glitter, I recommend this product but if you are just looking for a glow or just shimmer I would pass on this one.

So my search for a cream blush has ended. I am quite happy with my new Essence Pure Nude highlighter. Although it's a powder, it gives me the glow that I'm looking for! 😍

Before I share all of the benefits that I've found so far, I want to share a bit about my skin type: oily/combo, aging, dehydrated, reactive, and acne prone. I know, great combo!

My Experience:

This cleanser immediately reminded me of cleansers that I've tried from natural, high-end spas- it's very similar but even better! 

It comes in a sleek bottle, which I love as it doesn't take up too much space. It also comes with a handy pump which is always appreciated. 

I find that 1/2 a pump is all I need for my face and neck. The scent is very delicate and fresh and also reminds me of those high-end spa cleansers. The texture is hard for me to describe, it's like a gel/cream and creates a luxurious lather when massaged into damp skin.

It feels so good on my skin. It immediately feels gentle, hydrating, and soothing to my skin. When I find skincare that I love this much, I want to bathe in it. That's my first sign that I'm totally in love with a product.

After massaging it into my skin for about 1 minute, I remove it with a wet micro fibre or baby washcloth. I find that my skin is left clean but not stripped, it's left feeling like a babies bottom and I find it difficult to stop touching my face. My skin feels so hydrated like I could go without moisturizer if I wanted to. But, let's face it, as a skincare junkie that's not going to happen! 😊

My skin looks brighter, clearer, and a lot less angry since using this cleanser, the redness I had is gone! My skin is just loving this cleanser! I would never even expect these results from a cleanser, so to say this exceeded my expectations is an understatement. But, I should have known better since I know what great ingredients Live Clean uses in their products.

Conclusion:
From the ingredients to texture and performance, this product is very similar to what I've found in natural, high-end spas. I am thrilled that I can now get a fabulous cleanser that is just like a spa product that is accessible and affordable. This just goes to show that you can't judge a book by the cover.
