Essie Spring 2020 6 Piece Nail Polish Collection Review + Swatches

I'm loving all the beautiful pastel shades this year! Tie-dye, anyone!? 💛💜💙💚

Essie's 2020 Spring nail polish collection is right on trend with 6 beautiful pastel shades that look like candy. 

There are 3 creams shades and 3 shimmers, perfect for creating some fabulous looks by wearing multiple finishes and shades for a modern look.

Shades include (left - right):

• Can Dew Attitude (cream mint/pistachio)
• Kissed by Mist (baby pink w lavender shimmer)
• Feeling Wellies (cream soft pastel yellow/orange- reminds me of a creamsicle)
• Rainwear Don't Care (cream perfect pastel nude!)
• Spring in Your Step (lavender shimmer)
• Make a Splash (baby blue with blue/purple duo-chrome shimmer)

Above photo has 3 coats of each shade.

All photos taking in natural daylight during the daytime. No filters so you can see the colours as true as possible. It's difficult to capture the beautiful sparkle in some of the shimmer shades.

I love a classy nude nail, so I decided to wear a full mani using the shade Rainwear Don't Care (2 coats shown above).

I found that 2 coats were enough for me to get full opacity with the cream shades. Two coats were also enough for the shimmer shades, although they can all be built up to 3 coats if you prefer. Each polish has the typical Essie brush which makes it easy and quick to complete a manicure. I found that the Rainwear Don't Care (nude) shade had a runnier consistency than the others. I was happy that the shimmers were easy to remove with regular nail polish remover- no scrubbing required. 

The possibilities are endless of what you can create using the stunning shades and finishes in this collection.

It's difficult to pick favourites here as they are all so unique! I am not usually a fan of green shades but the muted mint/pistachio shade (Can Dew Attitude) is stunning, and the gorgeous sunny creamsicle shade (Feeling Wellies) just makes me happy and it makes such a fresh-looking pedicure! 💅
