Help Save Dogs From Cruel Pesticide Poisoning Testing! HSI

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, it's not from a lack of subjects to post about or a desire to post, in fact, it's quite the opposite! Life's just been so busy lately. But, I'm determined to get back to a regular schedule of blogging.

What better way to get back to blogging than sharing a post where we can all do some good!

I learned from The Humane Society (HSI) that South Korea and Japan are subjecting dogs to pesticide poisoning and we can all help to try and stop this barbaric, cruel treatment of man's best friend.

Behind locked doors, these dogs are slowly poisoned – forced to swallow pills or eat food laced with chemicals – every day for a year, until they are killed and dissected.

From HSI:
" Animal testing of pesticides such as weed killers and insect repellants isn’t just a bad habit – it’s the law in most countries. But HSI is working with governments around the world to revise their testing requirements to spare countless animals from the horrific cruelty of pesticide poisoning experiments. One such test that we’re now very close to eliminating is a 1-year study in dogs.

In this test, groups of beagle dogs are subject to daily pesticide poisoning – either by force-feeding of a capsule or being forced to eat food laced with a pesticide – for an entire year. The scientific basis of the test has been widely discredited, so much so that we’ve successfully convinced the United States, India, European Union, Brazil and Canada to stop requiring it. However, this test is still a legal requirement in Japan and South Korea. As a result, this cruel and unnecessary test is still being conducted to satisfy these two countries.

Please act now by adding your name to our letter urging South Korea and Japan to follow the global move to abandon this obsolete test."

Urge Japan and South Korea to drop this cruel animal testing requirement today!

Thank you for being a voice for animals!
