New | The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Foundation Lightening Drops Review

Product:
The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening - $22CAD for 15 ml

I was in the market for a foundation lightening product. I came across a few brands and decided to go with the one from The Body Shop. Mainly because of the price and I had a 1/2 off coupon. Plus, they are cruelty-free (although their parent company is not). I have not read any reviews on this product yet, but I think this product is worth sharing with you, so here is my review!

The Body Shop's Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening

The product is quite thick, so I think a squeeze tube would have been a better packaging choice for this product. It can be difficult to get the product into the pipette. But, it is what it is, so I make it work. It's not a deal-breaker.

I love my Tinted Hyaluron Cream by M. Asam, but as you can see it's very dark for my skin tone. Mixing in a drop or two of The Body Shop's Shade Adjusting Lightening Drops does the trick easily so I can wear this awesome tinted cream and not let it go to waste.

Drop of Lightening drops and M. Asam Tinted Cream

Here you can see the colours blended out on their own

According to The Body Shop, a concentration of white and pink pigments in The Body Shop's Lightening Drops helps neutralise yellowness while lightening.

1 drop = 1/2 a shade lighter.

Here are the two mixed together

The lightening drops are very easy to use and adjust the shade until you get just the shade you want. The Lightening Drops do not change how my tinted cream works. It still lasts all day. It also doesn't break up my tinted face cream or my makeup at all- which was something I was concerned about, but an end of the day face check proved me wrong.

Overall, although I have nothing to compare this to, it does just what I wanted it to do and it does it well. If you need something to lighten up your summer products or just one that is too dark, I definitely recommend these Shade Adjusting Drops.

Oh, they also have this product in a darkening formula to darken products that are too light. Genius I say! Where were these products when I was in high school!?

No filter selfie wearing the above 2 products (and bronzer that had yet to be blended.. lol)

I hadn't shopped at The Body Shop in years! They have impressed me lately. Starting with their new face masks (review linked here). And, here we have another winning product.

What Body Shop products do you love!?

Live Clean Fresh Face Smoothing Facial Scrub Review #Vegan #CrueltyFree

Exfoliating my skin is an important part of my skincare routine. I use chemical exfoliants (Retin-A and Glycolic Acid) and I like to use a physical exfoliant to slough off the dead skin cells that accumulate on the surface of my skin that make my skin look dull and lacklustre.

Retin-A increases cell turnover in the skin, which is important for anti-aging and in treating acne but we need to assist our skin in ridding itself of the top layer of dead skin cells that form. This is where the physical exfoliators come in.

I am of the belief that whether you use chemical exfoliants or not, it's important to assist your skin in ridding itself of the dead skin by using a gentle physical exfoliant. This not only makes your skin appear brighter and healthier but it also allows your other skincare products to penetrate your skin better, so you can actually use less product and get more benefits!

You also want to make sure that your physical exfoliant has enough exfoliating particles to be effective but that it's also gentle and doesn't contain jagged or rough particles that can put micro-tears in your skin.

So, I was super-excited when my favourite natural, cruelty-free drugstore line, Live Clean, came out with a skincare line that includes this Face Smoothing Facial Scrub.

Live Clean created 50 personal care products before they turned to developing skincare. They've created skincare that is gentle, calming, and soothing to your skin. They use plant and natural based ingredients that are hypo-allergenic, dermatologist tested, and effective, even for super sensitive skin types.

I recently threw out 2 exfoliating products by other brands. One was too harsh and contained very jagged and abrasive exfoliating particles that felt too rough on my skin. The other one didn't have enough particles in it to be effective at all.

Then I got the opportunity to try Live Clean's Fresh Face Smoothing Facial Scrub and it was like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.. just right!

What I love about this scrub:

-It's formulated with natural grains of finely milled corn cob that don't scratch or tear my skin
-It's packed with exfoliating particles which makes it very effective
-It's made with certified organic botanicals that soothes my sensitive skin (Lavender, Cucumber, Chamomile, Milk Thistle, Mallow, Aloe and Buckthorn)
-This comes in a huge size with 140 grams of product
-Perfect, hygenic and simple packaging
-Affordable
-Hypoallergenic
-Dermatologist tested
-98% plant derived
-Eco-friendly
-Vegan
-Cruelty-free
-Combine with a mask for an at-home spa experience
-I use less of my other skincare produts
-The end result: brighter, smoother, and younger looking skin

How I use this product:

- I use this product 1-3 times a week
- I almost always use it before applying a face mask to prep my skin and make sure that I get the most benefits from the mask
- After exfoliating and/or masking, I load on a serum, moisturizer, and oil to hydrate my skin

From Live Clean:

"This gentle polishing exfoliant removes impurities and dull surface cells to reveal a softer, luminous, even-toned complexion. Formulated with natural grains of finely ground Corn Cob to reveal a new layer of skin allowing for improved absorption of moisturizing treatments. Orchid extract seals in moisture and replenishes skin’s moisture barrier while antioxidant Vitamin C protects and boosts radiance. With unique combination of Certified Organic Botanicals to Calm/Soothe: Lavender, Cucumber, Chamomile, Milk Thistle, Mallow, Aloe and Buckthorn."

This Product is FREE of:
  • SLS/ Sulfates
  • Phthalates
  • Petrolatum
  • Silicone
  • Dye
  • Parabens
  • DEA
  • Phosphates
  • Mineral Oil

Size:

Price:
$14.99

Availability:

YES

If you are in the market for a new face scrub I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Review | Arbonne It's A Long Story, Mascara

I had heard of Arbonne over the years, mainly in regards to skincare, but I had never tried them out. I heard that they made high-quality skincare and were cruelty-free, both high on my list of things that I look for. But, I had no idea that they also sell makeup, hair care, body care, health products, and more!

Turns out they are an eco-friendly and socially responsible company too.

From Arbonne: " It’s not just what we put in our products that makes them superior. It’s what we choose to formulate without. We integrate the most beneficial botanical ingredients from nature with the principles of green chemistry — we craft products with integrity, expertise and innovation. And we do it responsibly, taking care of our earth at the same time."

I was so excited to get the chance to try a few of their products out thanks to one of their fabulous representatives, Sarah. - Thank you again, Sarah!

Sarah sent me a few samples, one of which was this full-size "It's A Long Story, Mascara." This tube has 12 grams of product, which is a generous size. I find most mascaras have around 8 grams of product. This mascara is also ophthalmologist tested and made in the USA. It's also Clinically tested and formulated to be water-resistant and long-wearing. It retails for $48CAD.

My Verdict:

It's quite a wet formula but it's on the thicker side, so it applies easily and one coat is really enough. It wears well and I had no smudging or flaking by the end of the day. I like that it is removed easily so I don't lose any lashes when I take it off at the end of the day.

I have very hooded eyes and I had no issues with the mascara transferring to my upper lids during application nor later on during the day.

In the first picture, I am wearing one coat of the mascara (top lashes only). In the second picture, I have two coats on (top lashes only). I applied the second coat after the first coat was completely dry, which was fine, but I find that I get even better results when I apply the second coat before the first one dries down completely.

Note: I am not wearing any eyeliner on the top or bottom of my eyes. The only other eye product that I'm wearing in these photos is a matte taupe eyeshadow in the crease of my eyes.

As you can see, the mascara alone gives my eyes quite a lift and creates a lot of impact.

Arbonne Mascara- One Coat

Arbonne Mascara- Two Coats
Overall, I am really impressed with this mascara. I love the impact that I get and how it adds both length and volume. It really seems to lift my lashes, which gives my eyes a real lift, which I can certainly use!

I hope to share some more reviews of Arbonne's products. I have a lipstick by Arbonne that I'm currently testing out as well, and it's definitely worth sharing with you too!

Have you tried any products by Arbonne? What do you recommend?

Changes | My Health and Weight Loss Journey to Get Fit and Lose Weight

Welcome to week 31 of my health and weight loss journey! I've been off track for a few weeks now and due to the lack of activity to report, among other things, I've decided to make this series a monthly post for now.

If I come across any great workouts or health products or services that I feel are worth sharing, I will share those in either the monthly post or a separate post if warranted.

I hope no one is disappointed by this, but without too much to share it's kind of redundant.

The Only thing to report in this post is that I lost 1 pound this week. Nothing new, it goes up, it goes down. Oh, and I've been trying to re-establish 2 daily habits that I did years ago. I would do squats for the 2 minutes that I brush my teeth (about 40 squats) and do 20 push ups during the time that I'm getting ready. I used to do this every day without fail and then I stopped. It's definitely a challenge to make this become a habit again... but I'm trying!

I hope the new monthly format for this post will be more interesting as I will hopefully have more to share.

Until then, stay healthy!

XO

Veeda | 100% Natural, Chemical Free Feminine Care

Have you ever thought about what's in your feminine care products?!  I didn't until a few years ago when I began to delve into the world of natural products.

During my research for cleaner products, I learned a lot about what's in our products and what was unhealthy, and it went far beyond skincare and haircare. I learned that most of our feminine care products like pads and tampons are loaded with bleach and other harmful chemicals that we wouldn't want in our feminine care products if given the choice.

These days, we have become much more aware of what is in our products, whether it be our food, beauty products, supplements etc. We are much more educated consumers than in the past. We now know for example that things that we put on our skin are absorbed by our skin (think the nicotine patch). So, reading labels and learning about ingredients are key to our health.

Luckily, two men realized this and they set out to create eco-friendly, natural feminine care products WITHOUT all the harsh chemicals and also make them affordable and accessible, and Veeda was born. They also give back to communities, supporting organizations that protect the environment and advance family health and wellness. I love what this company stands for!

Veeda 100% Natural Cotton Regular Tampons

With much more emphasis on our health these days, we make better decisions about what we decide to spend our hard earned money on. As unhealthy chemicals that are in our products become commonplace terms that we recognize, we can choose to stay away from them. That is if we can find them and afford them!

Thankfully, Veeda has come along and made affordable, healthy feminine care options for us that are also accessible.

Veeda's Goal:

"is for every woman to be informed about, and have access to, affordable and safe feminine care. Our hypoallergenic, toxin-free, 100% natural cotton tampons, pads and liners are widely available at a fair price. For those who can’t afford to buy, we provide donations via Project Everywoman and the 360° Care Fund, funded by a percentage of Veeda sales and profits. When you buy Veeda tampons, pads and liners, you get comfort and effectiveness that rivals top selling brands; healthy, hypoallergenic cotton to prevent irritation and toxic reactions; and a company that cares."

Veeda 100% Natural, Ultra-thin Cotton Pads with wings

What you need to know:

  • Veeda uses No Synthetics. No Chemicals. No Dyes.
  • Veeda products are made from hypoallergenic, 100% natural cotton
  • Conventional tampons and pads from well-known brands are made from blends of bleached cotton and/or synthetic products
  • Veeda tampons reduce the risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS), irritation, and allergic reactions
  • Is FDA-approved to meet all absorbency standards
  • Veeda's tampon by itself is 100% biodegradable, even in landfill
  • Veeda products are free from dioxins, pesticides, herbicides, wood, synthetic fibers, additives, pesticides, fragrance, and other chemical additives

It's shocking to find out what's in most of our conventional feminine products which are the things that Veeda leaves out!

Veeda currently offers Regular, Super, and Super Plus 100% natural cotton tampons in both applicator and app-free styles. Pads and liners are also available with 100% natural cotton coversheets. Lite tampons are available with applicators.

Veeda products are available in supermarkets, drugstores, and online. You can use Veeda's store locator to find a store near you.

If you want to learn more about Veeda, you can visit their website at https://www.veedausa.com/

Review | The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask #Vegan

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

I recently got the opportunity to try some of the Body Shop's new face masks thanks to a free sampling program that they ran to introduce these products to the market. I usually love to douse my skin with moisture, so I was surprised when my favourite of the 3 masks that I tried turned out to be the Himalayan Charcoal one. I loved the results so much that I had to buy the full size along with another product as shown in a recent haul (linked here).

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

I realized after the first mask session that the name they chose for this mask describes it perfectly, my skin had an instant glow to it afterward. My skin not only had a glow to it but it looked more clear, even, and radiant. My skin was also super soft after the mask. I have since used it a few more times and the results were even better. The results lasted into the next day; my skin was younger and clearer looking the next day. It was one of those things where I kept looking at my bare skin in the mirror and thought "geez, my skin looks good today." Then I realized, "oh, it's the mask!"

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION from The Body Shop:
"Refine and revive your skin with our Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. Inspired by Ayurvedic traditions, this 100% vegan tingling charcoal clay mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves, and organic tea tree oil. This invigorating charcoal face mask draws out impurities and refines the appearance of pores for healthy-looking skin with a glow that shows."

• 100% vegan
• Formulated without parabens, paraffins, silicone or mineral oils
• Absorbs excess oil
• Perfect for skin that needs extra purification to reveal a healthy, youthful glow
• Packed with bamboo charcoal from the Himalayan Foothills, green tea leaves from Japan and organic Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya.

Charcoal is great for pulling out impurities and detoxifying, and I can see that it's doing just that. It also provides a gentle exfoliation to the skin with the green tea leaves in the product. It has a cooling sensation on the skin thanks to the menthol in the product (which I could really do without) and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed. Besides the fact that I'm not a fan of cooling sensations in my skincare, it's not a deal-breaker as the results from this mask are fantastic.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

I  know a lot of people are into multi-masking and will place one type of mask on their T-zone and another type of mask on the drier parts like the cheeks etc. I like to multi-mask too and have done so for years, but I do it a little bit differently. I like to use a detoxifying mask such as the Himalayan Charcoal one all over my face for the allotted time and then after I remove it I apply a hydrating mask to my whole face as well. As always, I follow up with my usual skincare routine after masking.

This weekend I used this mask again but this time for my second / hydrating mask, I used The Body Shop's new British Rose Mask from the samples that I received. I loved the results so much that I may just have to go purchase the British Rose Mask as well. Although I didn't notice a difference when I used the British Rose Mask on its own, I definitely loved the results after using the Himalayan Charcoal Mask and following it up with the British Rose Mask.

Creepy Making Face!

I really love this product and it does what it says. I wasn't even in the market for a new face mask but after seeing the results, I just had to indulge. I also love that this product is cruelty-free and vegan!

Although the free sampling program for these masks is over, I'm sure The Body Shop will give you a free sample if you want to try it before you buy it. Just ask in store.

Tip: I signed up for The Body Shop's emails and received a 50% off code that was sent straight to my email. It was good for one product purchased either online or in store.

This product retails for $28 CAD for 75ml.

Have you tried any of the Body Shop's new masks? Which one's are you loving?

Week 30: My Health and Weight Loss Journey to Get Fit and Lose Weight!

I think this will be my shortest post ever. I don't have anything to report this week. All I can say is sometimes life gets in the way. If I can't get back on track soon and find the time to focus on fitness, I will have to consider coming back to this series or maybe making it a monthly post for now, just until I have the time to focus on fitness again.

I'm not abandoning this yet. I will try to do what I can, whether it be just walking, doing some yoga or the 7-minute fitness app. I will do my best to keep going. Let's see what happens over the next week and I'll go from there.

I hope you are all staying well and are finding the time and energy to focus on fitness and your health.

iHerb Haul | Health, Beauty, Cruelty Free Makeup!

I placed another order with iHerb as I do pretty much every month for the last 15+ years! I needed a few staples plus I couldn't help but get my hands on a few beauty products, of course!

Nutrition

Madre Labs CocoCeps $10.95 each ( I purchased 2 to get to $40 for cheaper shipping!)
My regular readers may be sick of seeing my talk about my CocoCeps but I can't get enough! I use it daily in my protein drink. It's an organic dark unsweetened heart healthy cocoa powder that also has immune boosting cordyceps & reishi powders. I have an aversion to eating mushrooms, so this is the only way that I can get the health benefits from them. And, NO, you can't taste them.

Supplements

Alive Once Daily Women's Ultra Potency Multi-Vitamin $16.37 / 60 tabs
I decided to switch up my multi vitamin again ( I always do). I've taken this one before and decided to go back to it and see how I feel. These are food based vitamins with orchard fruits, garden veggies, daily greens, enzymes, plus herbs for the heart, hair, skin & nails, as well as women's' health. Oh, it also contains a mushroom defense blend.

Now Foods Slippery Elm $5.73 / 400mg x 100 caps
Slipper Elm , also known as Red Elm, Moose Elm or Indian Elm, is a small North American tree that has been used by herbalist for over 100 years. The bark is known for its mucilage. It's reported to be great for many stomach/digestive issues, IBS, heartburn, sore throats among other issues. I love reading the reviews on the items on iHerb, I learn a lot from others from their reviews.

Boiron Arnica Montana Homeopathic Remedy $6.85 approx 80 pellets
Arnica Montana has been used for centuries as a natural pain reliever. It can soothe sore muscles and stiffness, reduce swelling from injuries and discoloration from bruising. Arnica is one of the most popular homeopathic remedies. It should be in everyone's first aid kit at home. I have books on homeopathy and there are many more uses for Arnica Montana, I've even read that it can help with insomnia.  Homeopathic remedies do not have any contraindications with allopathic medicines.

Beauty
I love that iHerb also carries some ELF cosmetics. It makes it more accessible to me here in Canada. I decided to try another shade in the Matte Lip Color. I chose the shade Tea Rose. And, I finally caved after hearing all the hype and purchased Elf's Lip Exfoliator. If it's as good as I hear, I'll be one happy camper! My lips are always in rough shape.

Elf Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose

I love these Matte lip colours by Elf. They are creamy and non-drying. This one is a gorgeous muted purple shade!
This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates extract color application.
The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and provides long-lasting matte color.
The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for all day comfort.

Such a beautiful muted purple!

Elf Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose

This product is new to me. I hope it works as well as I hear it does as my lips are in pretty bad condition.  I will follow up with a blog post to let you know.
Gently exfoliates lips to remove dry chapped skin with a sugary sweet and smoothing sensation.
Infused with Vitamin E Shea Butter, Avocado Grape and Jojoba Oil to nourish and protect.
Treats and smoothes lips for a conditioned and revitalized feel.

Elf Lip Exfoliator
Elf Lip Exfoliator
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I purchased. I can't wait to use these products now. I actually purchased them last month but was waiting to haul them. I will probably be reviewing some of these products to let you know the good, the bad or the ugly! ;)

You can get 10% OFF your entire iHerb order now by entering promo code AGU725 or using this link. This is now valid for new + existing customers! And, can be used for every order you place, even future ones.

Massive Empties | Health, Beauty, Makeup, Skincare!

Welcome to my massive empties post! I usually have a monthly empties post but for the last two months, I was focusing on some products I wanted to finish up, so I created a monthly beauty basket to focus on those products. The process proved to be very successful (September Beauty Basket linked here), but in the meantime, my regular empties box began to overflow.

I will keep my reviews as brief as possible and will share links where possible.

Nutrition

Natural Factors Whey Factors
This is my favourite protein powder. I've been using it for years! I buy it in chocolate and vanilla, and sometimes green tea. It doesn't have any artificial sweeteners which are so common in many protein powders but I refuse to eat or drink anything with artificial sweeteners.
Repurchase- YES!

Madre Labs CocoCeps Dark Chocolate Cocoa Beverage
This goes in my morning smoothie everyday! It's delicious and nutritious. It contains heart-healthy organic cocoa as well as immune boosting cordyceps and reishi powders. NO, you can't taste the mushroom powders, I hate mushrooms but I love their benefits.. this allows me to get the benefits without the yuck factor.
Repurchase- YES!

Nature's Way Liquid Coconut Oil
This is a coconut oil in liquid form. It's super convenient for baking as I don't have to melt the coconut oil to liquefy it first. Such a time saver. I would purchase this without the raspberry flavouring as I would have more uses for it.
Repurchase- Yes

Supplements

Webber Naturals Fish, Flax, & Borage Balanced Omega Complex
I really like this blend of oils. I like to take a fish oil that contains borage oil from time to time but I also like to rotate between various fish oil types and brands.
Repurchase- Yes

Paradise Orac-Energy Earth's Blend One Daily Superfood Multivitamin
This is an award winning supplement. I love that it's only one a day. It comes with iron or without. I buy the one with iron but it doesn't have enough iron for me so I have to buy a separate iron supplement. This superfood multi contains vitamins, minerals, greens, probiotics, and herbs.
Repurchase- Yes!

BHI Calming Homeopathic Tablets
I've been purchasing these for years! This is the one homeopathic composition that helps me when I can't sleep. It states that it relieves nervous tension, irritability. and sleeplessness. Homeopathics are super safe and do not interact with allopathic medicines.
Repurchase- Yes!

Other Health and Beauty

Now Food Xyli-White Toothpaste
This is my holy grail toothpaste. I've had better dental checkups since I started it years ago. It is free from SLS, fluoride, gluten, and parabens. It comes in mint flavour but I love the cinnamon. Now foods is cruelty-free!
Repurchase-Yes!

Auromere Ayurvedic Herbal Toothpaste
I purchased this because it was on sale. It's made up of some great ingredients but I still prefer my Now Foods Xyli-White toothpaste. This toothpaste has 23 herbal extracts, including Neem and Peelu. It's free from fluoride, gluten, and parabens.
Repurchase- No

Madre Bees Lip Balm
These USDA organic lip balms are great. I always stock up when iHerb has them on sale. They are such a bargain, they work great and are all natural. They even come in a shimmer formula if you want a bit more shine.
Repurchase- Yes!

Nature's Alchemy French Lavender 100% Pure Essential Oil x 2
This is a great quality lavender oil. I love to make my own linen and room sprays using this oil. I also add it to my bath water for a super relaxing bath.
Repurchase- Yes

TreSemme Nourishing Rituals Protein Renewal Creme
I read great things about this hair conditioner but I couldn't find it in any stores, so when I saw it in the dollar store I purchased 3 of them. I don't find it to be anything special for my hair. It claims to restore and strengthen hair.
Repurchase- No

GlowFusion Micro-Nutrient Face & Body Natural Protein Tan
Sadly, this almost full bottle is going in the garbage. It was a great product that created a really natural looking faux tan and I didn't have to worry about it staining clothing. I used to use it all the time but fell out of the habit. I bought several bottles of it and I've had this bottle for so long that it no longer works.
Repurchase- Don't even think they make it anymore.

Skincare

Peter Lamas Naturals Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub
I love the oily base of this product, however, I do not like the rough exfoliating particles in it. I've used about half of it but decided to part with it because of the rough particles in it. I wish they had used a rounded exfoliator that doesn't feel scratchy on my skin. I do love and finished the Citrus C Facial Cleanser by this brand. They are cruelty-free!
Repurchase- No

Now Foods Avacado Oil
I love this oil as the last step in my skincare routine before bed. I rotate it with other oils but this is a great one. It doesn't cause breakouts for my acne-prone skin and it's deeply moisturizing. It's great for aging skin as it helps to support skin elasticity.  Now Foods is cruelty-free.
Repurchase- Yes

Reviva Labs Elastin & Collagen Toner
This has been one of my holy grail facial toners for years. It's so soothing and gentle on my skin, and anything that says "elastin and collagen," hello! I'm in!  This is alcohol-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. It states that it's for dry skin but my combo/oily skin that is dehydrated loves it!
Repurchase- Yes!

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
I received this product for review purposes. I did like it, but I don't think it was the best choice from the Laneige line for my skin. I would love to try something else from their line that may be more suited to my skin.
Repurchase- No

Vichy Neovadiol Day Care & Serum
I received the whole Vichy Neovadiol line for testing and review purposes. I found that it did what it claimed. I was surprised that somehow this line of products did firm up my skin with continued use. I was impressed.
Repurchase- Yes

Clean and Clear Soothing Eye Makeup Remover
I didn't find this soothing at all. It stung my eyes at times and left an oily residue if I used too much and I don't even have sensitive eyes. I will stick to micellar water for eye makeup removal.
Repurchase- No

Simple Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes
I received these as a sample. They were super soothing to my skin and they did a great job in removing my makeup. I still follow up with a second cleanse at nighttime. I also used them in the morning when I needed a quick cleanse. Fabulous product!
Repurchase- Yes

Makeup

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge x2
These are great for applying foundation or BB creams etc. I always use them damp. They are soft and don't absorb too much product like some other sponges. Plus, they're a great deal and cruelty-free!
Repurchase- Yes

Annabelle CC Colour Control Pressed Powder
I did a whole review on this powder (linked here). I think I'm too oily for this powder. However, I did use it in the warmer months and it may suit my skin better in the drier winter months. It's not meant to be a matte powder as it has a subtle glow which is great for drier skin types. I just need something more mattifying. Annabelle is cruelty-free.
Repurchase-No

Elf Conditioning Lip Balm in Nice & Natural
What a beautiful colour this leaves on my lips. I am just over the pot style lip colours. This was a little too oily and messy for me. If Elf could reformulate this colour and balm into a stick that would be fab! Elf is also cruelty-free.
Repurchase- No

Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara
I did a whole review on this mascara (linked here). This mascara has fibers in it and I loved everything about it. I read some mixed reviews after I did my review, but I really loved what it did for my lashes and I didn't experience any flaking or smudging.
Repurchase- No (I would if they were cruelty-free)

Mirenesse Curl Mascara
Another winner! I loved this mascara. It was just featured in my October Favourites post (linked here). My Blogger friend, Kats from Kats Colourings was kind enough to send me this sample all the way from Australia- Thanks, Kats! But, sadly this brand is not available in Canada.
Repurchase- Yes

Wow, that was a lot! I hope you enjoyed seeing what was in my empties this month. I think I will have to rotate my beauty basket with my regular empties so my regular empties doesn't fill up this much!

PS. Come and join in on all the Blogger fun over at Monday Makeup Madness!
