Week 12: My Health and Weight Loss Journey to Get Fit and Lose Weight!

Happy Canada Day, Everyone!

BTW... I'm holding a Canada Day Big Beauty Giveaway! If you're reading this before July 6th you can still enter.. just click the link here.

So, it's the end of week 12 of my Get Fit Journey and I continued with my daily walks this week. Here is a link to last weeks post if you'd like to check it out.

Here a few nature pictures from my walks...

The Three Musketeers!

I basically walked most days of the week & did a weight routine that I created for myself (posted below)

Note: I added 15 Reverse lunges to the chart above

Here are my workouts for the week:

Day 1- I didn't document day 1 or 2, so I'm not sure if I went for my walks
Day 2- ?
Day 3-  25 min walk + weight routine with 8 lb weights
Day 4-  25 min walk
Day 5-  25 min walk + weight routine with 8 lb weights
Day 6-  25 min walk
Day 7-  25 min walk + weight routine with 8 lb weights

Weigh in :

Weight: Gained 1.5 lbs
Fat: Lost 1%

This is the first week that I've had any change in my weight besides a gain or loss of .5 pounds here and there. A 1.5 lb weight gain seems like a lot for one week BUT, I did lose 1 % body fat, so I am assuming that I gained muscle.

So it seems the change in my exercise routine has sparked something with my body, so I will continue with the walks and see what transpires. If I keep gaining 1.5 pounds a week that's not good, but if I continue to drop body fat, well that would be great!

Prior to this routine of daily walks with my weight routine that I started last week, I was doing HIIT style workouts using DVD's, plus using my stairmaster, walking on my treadmill, lifting my 8lb weights, and doing yoga. I was alternating all of these workouts.

This week, I did mean to do yoga on the days that I didn't do the weight routine but I was just too busy. I will do my best to incorporate it into my routine next week.

What are you doing to get in shape?

See you next week with another update!

Amy
