I used to be able to eat anyth...I know the feeling. I used to be able to eat anything and stay slim without even trying. Sorry to hear you had a back injury, I hope it's getting better. I had a lot of physical therapy after I was hit by a streetcar while crossing the street. Broke my pelvis in 2 places and had my arm screwed back together at the elbow. It was a long time ago, and I guess I was lucky because eventually I could walk again. I cannot do certain exercises like pilates due to my pelvis. But, I'm lucky I can do most other exercises. I just stay away from movements that bother my pelvis. If I can get motivated you can too! Create a plan, no matter how small. My workouts are only 1/2 hour a day and I keep track of it in a calendar and only weigh in once a week. I hope you can join me in this. Just do what you can.
