February Empties! Health, Beauty, and Makeup

It's that time again.. time to share my health and beauty empties for the month of February! If you want to read my last empties post you can find it HERE.

- Live Clean Colour Protect Shampoo- This product is made of 98% plant ingredients, it's free of SLS and parabens, pure vegan, and cruelty free! On top of all of that it's very gentle on my coloured/bleached hair but also gets it very clean and I find it moisturizing. It's budget friendly and found at most drugstores. Live Clean doesn't have very fancy packaging but it's what's inside that counts, and I've loved all of the hair products that I've tried from this line. I would buy this again when I run out of other shampoos that I have to use up.

-Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes- These wipes have some great ingredients like cucumber, chamomile, and aloe. They are gentle on my skin and the wipes are huge! These are a repeat buy for me as they are very economical and found at Costco.

-M. Asam Aqua Intense Moisture Recharge Night Cream- This was my first time trying this line. I received two items in a special deal from The Shopping Channel. Although this says it's a night cream, I used it during the day and I loved it. It has a nice consistency and is very hydrating but I do prefer a heavier/oilier cream at night. I would repurchase this at the right price.

-Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil- I purchased a pack of 5 minis when Target was closing here in Canada. I loved these eye pencils for their creaminess and how long lasting they are. Sadly, two of them dried up and the product just fell out of the tubes! The first one was tossed into the garbage, so only one is pictured here. Not sure why this happened to only 2 of the 5. I would not purchase these again after this experience. However, I still like other products by this brand.

-Jordana Best Lash Extreme- What can I say, this is probably my 10th tube of this mascara. I love what it does for my lashes but it's tough to get off. Will definitely repurchase and it's only $2.99.

-Elf Lash & Brow Clear Mascara- Another product I go through like crazy. I've tried other brow gels but I always go back to this one. Some others I've tried are too wet of a formula or flake and I don't have either of those issues with this brow gel. I use both sides for my brows. It's only $1-2. Definitely will repurchase.. in bulk! hehe

I saved my health products till last as I know some of my readers are not interested, but if you are interested read on for your health and your pets health! As always, check with your health professional before adding new supplements to your regimen.

-Garden of Life MyKind Organics Women's Multi- I am always trying new multi-vitamins and I rarely notice a difference in how I feel. That wasn't the case with these, I noticed a difference right away and found myself getting a lot done, especially neglected chores around the house. Garden of Life is pricey but worth it as they make really high quality products. I've been using their Primal Defense probiotics for over 18 years!

-Healthy Origins 5-HTP- At this time, this is my go-to for sleep! I take 100mg for a sounder sleep. It doesn't stop my cat from waking me at 6 am everyday but it definitely makes a huge difference in the quality and quantity of my sleep. I'm about to give another brand a go just to see if there's a difference but I do highly recommend these.

-Doctor's Best Quick Melt Melatonin 2.5 mg- This is another go-to product for me. I find that I have to take it for a while then take a break from it. These melt under the tongue and within about half an hour I can feel the sleepiness set in. They definitely work if you're having trouble with falling asleep. I can also take these if I wake early in the morning and usually I'll go back to sleep. I also play with different brands and doses but I always keep melatonin on hand. It's a hormone and it's good for a lot more than just sleep!

-Gentle Digest For Dogs and Cats- This product includes prebiotics and probiotics. Most of our pets can also use a little help in this department just as we can. This is great for their immune system and it helps keep my little guy regular. Another product I always have on hand.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I used up this month, what I loved and what didn't work for me. Have you found any products recently that you love? Please share, I love when you guys let me know about your great finds!

    1. I got so much cleaning done the first few days that I started the multivitamin that I was like the Energizer Bunny! lol. I had to scale it back a bit before others caught on to my boost in energy and then maybe expect too much! lol And, it's too bad I ran out as this week alone I've gone through 3 new computers and it's been sooo draining!
